    Great write up. For me the best thing about this season was undoubtedly the influx of new, committed, enthusiastic, decent level players. At a time when A LOT of A league vets have left the community (Probably due to life changes more than anything else such as leaving college, getting jobs, buying houses, forming new families etc) it wasn't long ago we thought we were looking at a scaling down of activity, but then BOOM, in come a huge group of new guys who remind me of many of us when we started. Great to see.

    Final note: I'd like the Bi-Polar award. QUE were absolutely incredible for me at home (17-3 regular season, 4-1 playoffs).......................and amongst the worst in the entire league away (4-14 regular season, 1-4 playoffs). I've never seen anything like it. Truly a different team on the road with noticeably poorer passing (I haven't checked but i'm guessing there was a considerable difference in passing % on the road & at home), a goalie who was like 2 different players & the uncanny knack of finding ways to blow the game, throwing away a number of 3rd period leads. I'm betting no one can boast such a contrasting season. Just crazy & massively depressing.

    Once again, great job to King & the other mods & congrats to the award winners.

    Man this is brilliant. There is so much to mention. Clockwise & his nhl2014 mod with updated graphics, players & stats is a true masterpiece. That's no exageration. It's art. Has to be in. I actually ran a 2011 league with his first version of the mod.

    The draft leagues in the community where players draft their own team from the original 94 players add a whole new dimension. My personal favourite of all the leagues is Blitz, invented by Smozoma with the "weight bug fix". Not sure if you've heard about the weight bug fix in Gens but you've probably noticed that great heavy players like Lemieux & Lindros are pants in the Gens version.............well Smozoma fixed that & the result is the most amazing league where those guys are as good as they should be.

    Evan & Halifax have to be consultants as the founder of the community & the guy who runs it now respectively. I also think you need to speak to both Plabax & KingRaph. Plabax, in my opinion is the best 94 player there has ever been, having advanced the style of play but also discovering new little things in the game such as the CB check..................Thing is he's a young kid who seems to have some serious mental issues. lol. Guy is possibly the most irritating & difficult member to deal with, thus his current banned status from these forums haha. He has a real rivalry with KingRaph who has improved his game no end over the years through pure dedication to learning & mastering each & every skill, King is a moderator here in the community & has banned Plabax from at least 2 leagues which King has then subsequently gone on to win. It's a relationship reminisent of the guys in that Donkey Kong documentary & personally I think it would make a great angle for your documentary.

    That aside I don't think I have too much to offer. I'm an average GENS player who has got to a couple of B league finals, nothing more. My angle is that i'm an Englishman who grew up playing this game with friends like everyone else here. I now live in Mexico. I guess it kinda shows how this game spanned nations & even touched cultures not immersed in hockey. I only know who guys like Roenick, Lindros, Yzerman, Cicarrelli & Neely etc are because of this game. Most I don't even know what they look like (I had no idea it was Neely in Dumb & Dumber) I just know they were in this game!

    OK Mac. Your roster has been adjusted: In: Richardson. Out: Joseph. Tomorrow I will edit the rom with yours & Skips rosters. All teams are done & we can now start preparing for the season. I will let you all know when it's ready.

    I wasn't intending this to a be THE roll call thread, just suggesting it. As commish Frey will be the guy to do it. The quick responses suggest there's enthusiasm for it!

    Just wanna say a merry xmas to all in the community. The past year its been tough to make time to play with a new demanding job but at this time I feel very thankful to be involved in a community that is keeping a very special part of my childhood alive.

    Have a good one everyone...........and to everyone a good one. Or something similar.

    Incredibly 7th seed Detroit advance to the Blitz B Stanley Cup finals after a 4-2 series win over top seed Ottawa.

    Game 1 @ OTTAWA: 7-4 OTT

    Game 2 @ OTTAWA: 2-1 DET

    Game 3 @ DETROIT: 3-2 OTT OT

    Game 4 @ DETROIT: 4-3 DET

    Game 5 @ OTTAWA: 6-5 DET

    Game 6 @ DETROIT: 5-3 DET

    (I think. Game 4 might well be wrong)

    It was basically a shoot out between Bure & Dino throughout. Hardly anyone else showed on the score sheets, but in the end Dino came up big in the playoffs yet again. Dino Cindarelli going to the Stanley Cup ball!

    Congrats to Probob for an incredible season. I think things just bounced my way on the day. We are old sparring partners since playing our first classic at the same time, but amazingly this was our first playoff series. Guy is a gentleman & a great member of the community.

    VGGs & look out for OTT next season!

    P.S. Chaos: When will the semi-finals be up on the website so I can post the states?

    How frsutrating that A has finished whilst B is still waiting on 2 quarter finals. Come on guys. Lets get done b4 xmas!

    Congrats to Plabax. One of the most irritating/frustrating community members to deal with but now arguably the best 94 player there has ever been. Especially going against the grain with his Blitz & GDL draft strategies
