  1. This is going to be a free for all style tournament, except one catch. You must play 7 games at most, and as soon as you lose a 3rd, you strike out. By the end everybody should have either walked, or struck out. Win 4 games, you are done. Lose 3, you are done. The teams are free for all, but if you are a league champ please do not pick the hawks! This is using the original rom.

I know I'm missing a bunch of other people, but that was a quick list of the top of my head. You guys all rule!

Those list are great. There will be a few teams off that.

  3. This where we will discuss our ideas for one-nighters. Just a few off the top:

    • All Star Weekend Tourney: Where we do an allstar weekend. We get into pairs, do a fantasy draft (first night), do a best of 7 shootout series (second night), and play a game.
    • Hockey Day In Canada/USA: Either an all Canada or USA teams tournament (As in no using stars and such in Canada tournament and no using canadiens and such in USA tournament).
    • Don Cherry's Hockey Club: Every Saturday we play on of the scheduled match-ups for HNIC. Ranging from Leafs vs Habs to Oilers vs Flames.'

I hope you guys contribute and help get more ideas out there for noobs like me to become better players.

  4. I am planning on signing up for the GENS Fall Classic League, but do not know what Tier to sign up for. Am I B2 or B1. I have won the cup a large amount of times offline, and love using the Blues, Leafs, Hawks, and Canucks. I lost to Plabax 6-2 once and 9-3 right after that. I also usually score 2-5 goals a game. I am ok at manual goalie, and hate offsides.

  5. I think you'll find getting games in much easier than it seems. 4 games can get knocked out in under an hour, if you're able to be online a couple hours per week you'll have no problem getting games in.

Keep an eye out for registration in mid-August to early September like Bo said.

In the meantime, try connecting with a few guys on AIM to get your connection confirmed and than see about getting on waitlists for certain leagues.

Also using my grandparents slow wifi I played a smooth game so I probably am eligible at my houses wifi because we have high speed

I got completely destroyed by Plabax twice. I am not to good. I am definitely gonna be in the lowest league
  7. 1. Classic Fall will start in the fall. Shocking, I know. Last fall sign ups started September 2nd.

    2. People are generally more active during the actual NHL season for a few reasons. For one, there's hockey on TV so people are generally in hockey mode. People also vacation more in the summer. And thirdly in the winter people are snowed in (especially in Canada and northern US) so we spend more time on our computers playing NHL 94 as opposed to enjoying the warm weather/sun.

I have a harder time in winter due to hockey games every weekend day.
