Regarding the Rob Barr ratings: Does this mean that: 1. what it says in the opening "Hot/Cold" screen is correct?, and 2. That the attribute ratings (like Agility, Speed, etc.) in the Edit Player screen are correct? Both of those are good, but what I am really hoping for is #2. (But I may not have asked correctly.) Hey, Tex! Part of the reason you missed it was because even though I love exis with you, I didn't seek you out like I did the other A guys. You are kinda "in between", so it wouldn't have been fair to give tyou a bottom 5 team, or fair to the rest to give you a top 5 team. Sorry, Tex. (You kinda got too good. ;))

Hey Coach, the ROM is your domain! Thanks a lot for that! Graphics and whatever you see fit on that front sounds cool! I really appreciate it. As for the team selection, I need to make an Executive Decision and say let's stick to a draft. That is the fairest thing. Hopefully you will be first seed in the B draft, and Raph gets last seed in the A draft! (But if that doesn't happen, well, it's just a silly league anyway.)

Ok couple things: 1. There is a draw to see who picks who, so I have no control over who picks what team, or more importantly (it seems), who Raph picks!! 2. There is a slight issue because we have 5 A guys with Smozoma and FPB I hope it is ok if we keep both of them, and have 9 guys (5 A and 4 B and each of us plays 2 more games for 16 total.) This is meant to be a very casual and fun league... don't want to make it work or un-fun for anyone. I will assume that is cool unless someone protests in this thread.

Coach has (tentatively) agreed to make a ROM based on the Classic ROM that has these characteristics: 1. the patch that makes Hot and Cold correct (so the player ratings are real) 2. the patch that does not count body checks after whistle 3. make OT 99 minutes These changes do not impact the gameplay of the Classic ROM. They just help with stats, and avoiding tie games. Looking to start league in a week, aiming to wrap up before March 1.

Dude, I would be honoured! You can be the 4th A we need. If others are cool with it, you can draft a team in the bottom half, since you are not an A+ like Depch, Raph and Ice. But, if you want the challenge, you certainly can take a bottom 5. Up to you.

Ok, what do you guys think of these rules: 8 guys, 4 As, 4 Bs B level picks from complete Classic list, A level pick from bottom 5 Each team plays the other team 2x (home and away), for 14 games total Aim for 7 games per week, so: season complete in 2 weeks No playoffs. Whoever has most wins, wins (If there is a tie, we then look at: GF, GA) As and Bs draft teams separately based on random draw Atomic and I (might be able to) tweak nhl94rocks.com to keep track of league stats, so even though it is a small, tight league we can still track stuff like nhl94online.com does. We should use this thread to add all the Pass Shot videos, and give credit to the creators. I will start digging around...

I do love the ROM. Here are two favorite things of mine: 1. With no penalties, the games are so quick you can play an entire 7 game series in record time 2. Nothing more satisfying than knocking out your opponent's star player without getting a penalty! Number one is my fave by a mile. I play quite a few exi series, and I estimated they are > 25% faster without the penalties. Make a big difference in squeezing games in, in a short amount of time. What do you think about the ROM?

Seems reasonable to me. The guys that made the playoffs proved they were finishers -- or they would have been booted already --. so things can now proceed in Good Faith.

So Zep and FPB, do you guys have the testicular fortitude to try your hand with one of the bottom 5 teams? If this league happened it would be spaced for some "down time" between other, more major, leagues...

FIrst, thanks for the vid! I do believe you are the #1 pass shooter. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Second, are all those pass shots? Some of them look like regular shots? At the very least, to my untrained eye, some of them look like they *could* be a regular shot, but I guess you elect to score with a pass? Is a pass shot just that much better (almost) all the time?
