    Are you guys thinking about another bar or maybe renting a hall and having it there. That may be easier especially moving in TV's etc.

    I like the extra life change and the station scheduling is awesome.

    I know one thing I'll do different next time - not go back to the hotel and take a nap. I think it took an edge off.

    "Losing your edge" had to be better than being on the verge of hallucination from lack of sleep like me and Witt were.

    Just goes to show, whenever two of the Pittsburgh crew play, records go right out the window.

    Voc, if you would just get rid of that straight on pass shot you try and go with either a one timer or deke you'd win more. You must try that 7/8 times a game at least and maybe hit on it 10% of time tops.

    Haha that doesn't sound like me, FPB. The last few years, guys are too good defensively for me to get close enough to the net. I just get pounded into submission before I can shoot, so I pass shot because it's quicker. This team that Depch drafted was pretty good but the shooting was really weak. I gave Makarov some glorious setups in that series and he tripped over himself every time.

    Don't know what happened to cr0ssbar. He was def the first guy who showed us the pass shot. The fins adopted it and mastered it to an extent.

    They both ran leagues that they spazzed out on and killed. cr0ssbar went slightly less crazy than p1zza. I've been doing pass shots since I first played the game around the time it was released, he just refused to try to score any other way.

    Season Series: Tied 1-1

    FLA Keys to Victory: Fleury, Makraov, Eklund….that's old school GDL! This lightweight team is driven by the human canonball Theo Fleury, and his wingers performed nearly identical this season, both finishing with 52 goals each, and 57 aand 61 assists each. While Theo can run amok, his 3 accuracy can drive you mad. Sean Burke is a bit of a challenge in net, so VC must play good GC!

    HFD Keys to Victory: Sakic, Verbeek, Bonda, Gusarov, Svoboda…that's old school GDL! Hartford put up a very similar amount of goals/game as FLA (4.60 vs 4.68), but the goals against were the big Achilles heel for Hartford, giving up a terrible 4.76 a game. Ron Hextall finished the season with a .595 save percentage, lowest of all the playoff goalies and below his historical average of .634. Bonda also finished 3rd in points, behind Verbeek, which suggests Bok wasn't able to fully utilize Bondra's great speed. Hartford can score enough goals to win games, but they gotta plug up all those defensive holes if they hope to have any chance of moving on.

    Prediction: FLA in 6

    Old school teams in an old school rivalry! Two members of the Pittsburgh crew will face off in what will surely be an entertaining matchup, especially if it happens live. I predict they will go toe to toe on goals as well as witty quips. Ultimately I think Florida moves on, unless Bo can really get his goalie control together and pull off the upset!

    Yeah, we'll definitely be doing it live. I better get out the talcum powder and Xanax for when my hands start sweating uncontrollably after I give up one goal.

    No extensions. The playoffs for him would be a long shot anyhow.

    EA had been posting and trying to finish his games up until the final week, and it became obvious he wasn't going to play his games, and I offered to have FPB help him finish them. During this texting exchange, EA let me know he was not going to renew for GDL XV. It was at this time that I made him full replacement with the chance to pull off a miracle and make the post season.

    He's got real long odds. Main point is to cut down on the DNP's. Given everyone I speak to about being replaced has been saying, "NO" and they can get their games in, I'm not sure why I would have replaced anyone who did not quit??

    As it stands, IMO, Seth, Plabax, Icestorm & Zeppelin are the clear class of that conference, and all 4 of their teams are better than the team FPB took over for, so I don't see that imbalancing the top 4. Obviously, Zepp's team has that goalie situation, but still, overall, I'd still play with his team than EA's.

    In the end, commish made a big boy decision, and season still ends Monday night at 3:00 am eastern. You guys find a way to "live with it".

    Good call. Extending the season because of one coaching change just to upset the schedule of every other team is stupid. I could wake up dead tomorrow and then what was the point of me winning my division for the right to choke in the playoffs if they're delayed?
