  1. It seems like EA viewed the project as a one time thing and won’t be updating the rosters anymore, let alone adding in DLC.

Depending on what kind of PC/smartphone you have, a few people here have hacks with the 1994 season if you are able to run them.

As for teams like texas,florida,arkansas...yeah I think that'd be cool to do on one of the files.   Also minor league hockey one would be cool.

Those are in the Dynasty Simulator topic just to keep it as a separate project since the rosters are fictional.

Arkansas did not make the cut but given their status as an SEC team they could be in a potential third update along with Auburn, LSU, or Vanderbilt.

It’ll be while before I add more teams, but in that other .zip there’s 32 extra teams from across the ACC, AAC, Big 12, SEC, B1G, Ivy, MWC, and PAC 12.

  3. What teams are in the game?

All 62 current NCAA teams, 2 incoming programs, and 32 fictional teams (large national brand schools, successful ACHA programs, or teams in markets that just "make sense"). A full list is available in the download.

Do I need Excel to play this?

This Excel piece of project was made in Excel, and I cannot guarantee it works in other spreadsheet editors. I cannot guarantee formulas function as intended.

Do I need NOSE to play this?

If you want to have year over year progress and recruiting, then yes. If not, then don't worry about it.

Can you help me with _____?

I can answer questions, but can't make anything for anyone right now. If you want custom conferences or something like that, use my example file and edit as necessary.

Are you going to add [school]?

If it's a historic Power 5 football school, Power 6 basketball school, or school in an NHL market, then I probably thought about it but just didn't do it. There's a list of teams for a 7th pod, but it takes a lot of work and 96 is already an insane number.

    [Name] is of a famous person/serial killer/TV character/politician/whatever.

The only names I added myself are T. Funke and G. Bluth, which were to fill space because my name generator had an error or a name was a bit excessive. So I sincerely apologize if any names slipped through the cracks.

  4. Hello all,

I have been chipping away at this for a few weeks now and am excited to share. This is a hybrid ROM package/spreadsheet simulator that allows anyone with an emulator, Excel editor, and NOSE to play through their own "dynasty mode" in my College Hockey Gameday ROM series.

There are 32 more teams added in and every roster has been edited to feature fictional players and new ratings in order to make the game more "evergreen" (it would be quite weird to get 10 seasons in and still play against Luke Hughes or Cutter Gauthier!).

In order to get the most out of this project, you will need:

    • a Sega Genesis Emulator (necessary for basic function)
    • an Excel editor and some basic familiarity with the program (necessary for season and recruiting simulator)
    • NOSE (necessary for recruiting simulator and customization)
    • Some patience as I am not a perfect UX designer

There are some bugs that I know about, they are:

    • Broken replay button graphic in Instant Replay mode
    • Some of the old NCAA logos don't show up perfectly and have transparent pixels where they shouldn't on the menu

For more information, please see the .txt files inside the download.

First, I just want to say, incredible stuff.

I was hoping to play this version on the MiyooMini but I am wondering what steps I would need? Unless I ran it through the PS emulator? Is there a way to run it through the Sega emulator? (as a .md file?)

    Thank you!

Sauce has not logged in since he quit the site and will probably not be back to answer your question or update the ROM in the near future. It’s a bummer, but it’s his choice.

We all hack in .bin since that’s primarily what our community’s emulators use, but this (https://www.zophar.net/utilities/segautil.html) should be able to covert our .bins to .mds.

    Hey all,

Winter Classic ROM is out now! Was going to wait to get this done, but I live in the Fenway area and can't contain my excitement :).

Every team has unique branding and I redid some of the fans and benches (thank you @Drezz for recommending the bald man wears a winter hat) to fit the outdoor aesthetic even more. Not sure if I'll go back through CHGD and add all of this in, but I like it! I also used the "NHL Outdoors" logo as a generic placeholder for WC/SS/HC/other outdoor games instead of this year's WC logo.

Some other tweaks can be read about in the first post.

  7. A while back @Brodeur30 figured out how to make the net collision physics more accurate to the actual net dimensions on the ice, so a good portion of the newer ROMs are using this.

Everyone also rates players very differently. Accuracy and power will change a shooter's ability to take a good shot, and awareness will affect how your offensive players create opportunities and the defensive AI prevents them.
