Hey guys I'm new here and am definitely a big fan of what this community has been doing these past few years. I only became aware of this website and community in the past few months and was stunned to discover NHL 94 is alive and well on the internet! This really is the craziest thing I have ever seen in regards to the lengths people are willing to go to play perhaps the best sports game from our childhood (we are generally in our 30's/40's here or am I dating myself???).
I would love to get involved in the upcoming fall league and want to get my coaching status confirmed.

I am incredibly new to all of this type of emulator networking stuff, so I going to have to ask for you guys to be a little patient with explaining stuff, but I love what you all have set up here and really want to be a part of it!

Welcome to the site. The best place for you to post is in the "I'm new"/Introduction thread. That is where new members introduce themselves. We also use AOL Instant Messenger as our main source for communicating. Download it and once you get it setup then post your AIM screen name in the "I'm new" thread.

I guess it doesnt matter. Not sure how offsides on or off affects his team. Isn't it the same for everyone? Does NJ go offsides more than other teams?

I have attempted numerous times to change the penalty length to 1 minute but havent been able to. Trudatman also has taken a quick look and havent figured it out either.

I think you should use just a simple shot to assist ratio regardless of TOI.
If a player has a high shot to assist ratio the he shooting bias will be high. Then low shots to assists would mean low shot bias.
No matter what the amount of TOI a player gets, his style of play will be the same so his ratio generally should be the same.

Anyone figure how to have the extra attacker on the ice the whole time, including having the goalie on ice too? Basically 7on7.
Another question is about "icing". Anyway to disable it?

Good. I hate quitters. I can tell you right now I get frustrated when I lose but I still play my games regardless. I hope everyone finishes.

I think that before any playoffs start that we try to get everyone to finish ALL of their games regardless of their record. This way all the season and career stats and records will be based on full seasons. Unfair to the guys who only have a few games left with the possibility of having a player as a stat leader but can't find other coaches to play the games.

A few years back I lost to pondhcky in a exhib 10-9, but I was leading 9-1 during the 2nd period.
