yeah i did awesome in the first season when i got 3 forwards firs-whoops, no i didn't. just kidding. but seriously, just cause you're confident in your ability to play d doesn't mean its gonna be good this season. there aren't many good d men left to back it up by this time in the draft, i know that from personal experience, and that was when we only had 20 teams. Take Matt for example last season. Amazing player. With an absolutely awful goalie. His skills wasn't gonna MAKE puppa stop the puck, everyone around here is too good for that, and he ended up missing the postseason. That's just my take on stocking up on offense. I just would rather avoid doing that unless i know there's going to be someone i want available on d or in goal.

gretz has an awesome pass rating and is a beast at checking. So yeah, he's decent to have, definitely not the best player though. he's limited in what he can do to be honest, but i wouldn't ever call him useless.

yeah, that's fair. I believe that backhandfloater could get in contact with both of them if needed whenever he gets time, so i'm sure he could give EA the heads up (he left today btw). EA also said he'd be checking back periodically, so I don't think it would be a huge problem. pretty sure dmac can post, he just can't play. It's just a matter of guys checking back and staying on top of things. hopefully everything goes smoothly.

this is a perfectly legitimate request imo. The draft isn't exactly time consuming for those participating in it. You look at the database for 5 minutes and make a decision. You're not deciding what car you're gonna buy, it's a video game. Pick a player. But thats not even the point, the point is that if Dadonch needs more time to edit rosters then by all means he should take it. If we get the draft over and done with by next week, he has more time to do what he needs to do. Then everyone can take care of their responsibilities in other leagues while he handles the rom. I say move it up.

i really don't even care which way this goes now. but snaking just seems more reasonable. Doesn't really matter whether it'll make the "weaker" coaches stronger. It's actually kind of arrogant to say that. Because at one point we were all "weaker" coaches, but we got better over time, not from everyone else nursing us and leading by the hand till we were good enough to play them at their best. So you lost by 10. Big deal. Ask HABS and backhandfloater how bad they used to kick my ass when i first came here last year. ASK THEM. I couldn't beat ANYONE. But I took my ass beatings like a man and learned from them so could I correct my mistakes and become a better player. Why is that so hard for everyone else to do? Seriously.

If you want an example of people taking this game too seriously than it's the people taking unnecessary shots at each other in this thread. That pretty much insulted each other over something as trivial as this. This isn't a professional sport, it's a f**king video game league. GROW UP. I really don't even care who said or who started what. This just needs to be settled once and for all. I know for a fact that we're ALL better than this. However the draft ends up, we'll just have to deal.

i'm pretty sure there was already a poll that was started before then, and i made a post there. There were so many f**king polls started in the last two hours, so it was really hard to keep up with them all. But i agree with EA. Mostly. this isn't the nhl draft where we're just adding rookies to our roster, it's an actual fantasy draft, so this really fucks up guys like ea and kgman who are dead last in the first two rounds. There aren't really an abundance of stars in this game, so i'll be really surprised if both guys get more than one guy over 80. So yeah, i agree that its unfair to cripple guys just because they had a successful season. I don't even know what went wrong in last season's draft that HAD TO BE ADDRESSED. There are ALWAYS going to be bad teams in every league. The problem is the players who didn't do well need to PRACTICE. when i play a guy in an exhibition, i'm not gonna pick san jose just because he isn't as good as me. It's insulting to him. Guess i'll be doing that more from now on if that's the way it is nowadays. If you're concerned with players not being able to be good enough to ever get anywhere, then make a B league. Problem solved. Evan's been doing that for a year now because he realized that players just play on different levels. But it isn't my place to complain, since i don't run the thing. I'm just stating my opinion. And my opinion is that babying other coaches so they can keep up with more experienced coaches isn't going to make them any better.

2 minutes is fine. Injuries happen at random, so it really shouldn't be any more than a roughing penalty. 4 minutes is just REALLY overdoing it.
