Nope, don't even have an Xbox, there are certain people here (yours truly) that feel that the Xbox is a load of donkey crap. hehe, I don't mean to start a flamewar, or get off topic. I hope they make the same kinda hardware for the PS3.
Does anyone have this device?

If you do, is it any good?

The graphics ARE NOT choppier on the Sega version, its the SNES version that is choppier because they had to cut the framerate in half so the game would play on the system.
The SNES version does have way better graphics and I like the defence control and the use of the X button to grab the manual goalie. I have played both versions of the game a lot and prefer the CD version overall due to the smoothness and the ability to edit the game and play it without the need to play it on the computer, (which other then online play is lame) or other fancy expensive hardware.
My friends and I prefer the Sega CD version hands down.

Good work! All of us here appreciate all your hard work.
-
I think most guys here would play NHL 95 (aka NHL 94) for PC but there is no manual goalie. As we all know, the goalie AI is less than perfect so manual goalie is the only way to go.
-
Good work, nice option to have.
-
You didn't mess up your ISO file, a lot of things are listed twice on the Sega CD version.

Fake names and rosters don't really matter, I was hoping for some online NHL 94 action. I've been looking but can anyone tell me if 94 on the PS2 has online play?
-
I know there is some info on the mainpage already but this info should be added to it: https://nhl94.com/html/editing/edit_bin.php#edit_bin_checksum

Ah, yes, i forgot about the online part, ya, the Genesis version is my second choice.
Does anyone know yet if we will be able to play the NHL 94 game that is included on the NHL 06 game for the PS2 online?
-
All the stuff you need to play 94 is in the multimedia section on this site.
-
You can edit the Sega CD version as well.
-
The PS2 runs at 300mhz and the new PS3 will run at 3.2GHZ so processor power wont be an issue. Hopefully I can run all emulated games on that, have all the old school games in one place.
-
I did manage to get the Genny games on the DC working and the ones I tried work great, however NHL 94 doesn't play at all, of course, the one game that I wanted to work.
-
I also use the gravis gamepad pro but the buttons are fine, it's the stupid control pad that is not the greatest.
-
What I would like to see is them playing 94 on the PS2.
-
There are other decent hockey games out there like NHL Hitz Pro and NHL Rock The Rink, stuff like that but 94 is king.
-
They have a emulator out that lets you play Sega Genesis games perfectly on your Dreamcast, I know the name of the emulator but apparently it's illegal even now to mention it , go figure. Anyway, I found this emulator with 505 Genny roms on it and I'm gonna try it when it's done downloading. Apparently, you can put your own roms on this disc.
Some of you have Xbox emulators for this kind of stuff I believe, can you play say, NHL 94 online?
-
Ya, it is about time EA got on the ball. They should have released NHL 94 port on all the console versions of NHL 06 not just the PS2 version.
Does anyone have any more info on NHL 94 on the PS2? There is a video up on www.gamespot.com but they only show you the NHL 94 intro screen.
I have found this site, download the video:

I love the NOSE logo, use that one.
:Off Topic:
Heh, don't use the below pic for the logo, lol, I made that a few years ago, took me all of 5 minutes.
-
Ya, been like a million years.
-
How 'bout: NHL 94 Editor? hehe, how original. If there is a logo, maybe it should have NHL 94 somewhere on it, maybe a pic of a player or something. I do like the puck logo.

I wonder if NHL 94 included on the PS2 will be playable online? That will solve a lot of problems for setting up games anyway.
-
I watched the video and I wonder what kind of updated they might have done as they didn't go into the game, Ive since then been looking for more info on what 'updates' may have been entered into nhl 94 on the game. I love the fact that they based it on the Sega Genesis version of the game, the only reason I would pick up this game for the PS2 is for NHL 94 (duh)
-ah, remember that the PS2 version is the only version I think that will have NHL 94 on it.
-
The Genesis version actually has a frame rate cut to make the game playable on the cart, same with the Snes version, the Sega CD version does play faster yes.

Names don't matter none, they should have made 94 online playable.
