    LOVE that table raph. That's a really great way to compare high level coaches. Some real interesting stuff, its def better than my overall win:loss ratios, since it factors out super lopsided matchups

     

    I would completely understand if some people object to me making the cut because i have the smallest sample size, i just have a hard time justifying putting others above personally

     

    Such epic careers from Zalex and Icestorm as you can see! So cool

    The date was Saturday September 12, 2015. I was still reeling from the pain of losing 2-1 to AJ a few games earlier, after making the mistake of picking Anaheim and giving him Florida. I had clawed my way back to him again after 3 hard fought wins against 3 skilled online players of whose names I shall withhold. I didn't think I'd get another crack at him. A revenge opportunity in the same day, perfect!

     

    But why was I even at this point? 2 losses?? This was not how it was supposed to go down. It was all going according to plan until I met kgman earlier, and was shocked to get bested 6-4. And then the next game was my previously mentioned ANH-FLA game with AJ. This all didn't compute. It wasn't supposed to be this difficult.

     

    But that's okay! I earned another shot. And this time, I had the opportunity to choose the matchup. This felt like a wonderful example of justice. I was extremely overwhelmed with pressure and commotion and my brain was in a foggy haze. But I still had enough brainpower to know, no way in hell I'm letting this be another bottom-tier grind match. I'm going to hit him with the hardest-hitting matchup I can think of! (that I hadn't picked in a previous game). And so...

     

    I gave AJ Chicago at home.

     

    And the rest is history. That was my last game of nhl 94 against another human. And my life has been slowly spiraling even more out of control ever since

    I actually like your tiers and choices hali. You guys really think Dallas is that bad? Why? Yes they are flawed, but they have both speed and talent up front. I personally think I would take Dallas over most of the tier 2 teams, but I'm also stuck in 2015...more like 2013 lol 

    Imo Dallas rolls over teams like PHI TOR QUE

    I like holding C when you have the puck as the goalie, as it makes him shake it like a madman lol

    Also holding the puck as the goalie, when you have it behind your net and press A you can bounce it off the back of the net. You can then pick it up again and do it indefinitely

    The fact that right and left handed players skate slightly different from each other is a crazy quirk. I would think 94 is the only game with that quirk (there's a good chance 93 is like this too I suppose).

    Standing behind your net as a player with the puck if you face forward and press C, the puck will bounce off the back of the net. If you turn yourself almost backward, so the puck is really close to the boards, and press C, you'll flip it over the net instead of hitting it. Not really a quirk per se, just a surprisingly stellar physics system.

    Checking a player into the boards during the sideways controls is always cause for a pause down-up-down-up flick for respect

    Its one of the more feel good quirks lol

    The 2nd attempt on a penalty shot thing is very debatable. I personally feel that considering the flow of the game, I wish everyone agreed to play on and keep trying if a penalty shot gets poked.

    Goalie lock is the same way, debatable. Yeah it is a glitch, but its mostly avoidable, and its frustrating to have to flip the puck out cuz your opponent tried to stretch pass you with his goalie lol.

    But after whistle through the net penalty shot cheese is definitely never okay to let go. There is absolutely no time I wouldnt give the goal back. Even if I scored it in overtime to win a king of 94, I would ask the opponent if its cool to play next goal wins in another game. But I dont think anyone would take their money and run with this one

    Uncle seth ended my career in 2015 with his crushing cb checks

    At this point im just a dark horse :( (who could knock anyone out I still have the fire deep down :angry2::angry2::angry2: grrrrr)

    There I was in Toronto, in the same room at TomKabs, everyone playing exis.  TK and I played lots online, with crappy lagolas and it would have been glorious to play live.  Did we play?  No.  Big oversight.  Played in tourney?  No.  Have not played since.  :cry:

    What. As far as I can remember our games were smooth af. What crappy lagolas

    Yeah cuz you beat me in the hotel friday at the Toronto tourney :D

    My confidence was shot after that lol, I was questioning my ability to use a dpad

    Im starting to think im a bit fragile
