That's odd. I will check it out 95 on my computer. Maybe try redownloading and intalling.
worked fine for me, not sure what the problem is.

Let me give you an example
Start up the emulator
Play Mode: New Season, hit start
Select period length, etc..., hit start
Check off Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, hit start (Note: You are supposed to be able to use the left/right to change the day, this is not working)
Takes me to the screen where you can select, Play Games, I have that highlighted and hit start
Now it puts me at a screen that the first option is On to Playoffs.
This is all pretty odd, its like the game is not saving internal data like it should.

I think you have choose from the emulator menu "save state" Then when you play later you have to choose "load state"

back when i actually owned 95
i was playing a season... got through like 70 games... i was in first place with the rangers, and then out of nowhere i went from being listed 1st in the division to last... i never figured out why that happened (and no it wasnt b/c i was behind in points) lol
but i finished the season and didnt make the playoffs b/c of the glitch...
i got turned off from the game quickly after that...
Yeah it is like 128 or 130 pt glitch that brings you to the bottom of the standings. Not a good glitch to have.
Still love 95 though.

Do you know if this bug is in all versions of NHL are just in 94?

the biggest factor when it comes to checking ability is weight, the lighter the guy is the better he can lay guys out.
agility and speed also have a factor, but weight is the main reason.
Lighter? I always thought it would be the heavier guys like the Joel Ottos of the league. Good to know.

So what ratings give a player good checking abilities?

So what does the checking rating do?
Meaning do players with higher checking ratings lay out people easier, or is it the weight of the player that lets them do that.
Also do computer controlled players with high checking stats check more?

Glad to hear you are picking it up again. I would definitely put North Dakota and St Cloud State(MN). They always have good teams.
Like your list but you may have too many Ivy League schools in there, they normally have some weak teams. Or it could just be bias as I favor the WCHA and Hockey East.

When you go online to set up a game, does it matter what server you pick? Are there prefered ones?

Those horrible passer ratings with a win were against me in my first online games ever. Thanks for helping me set up online play SSIG. In my defense we did go to OT in both those games but I think SSIG was letting up on me a bit. Once we got to OT he disposed of me rather quickly.

Never played online before and I'm a 95er instead of a 94er, but since 94 is the game of choice AIM me if you want to give me my first loss

i downloaded it and installed it i liked the new look but then uh... i couldnt IM anyone; the box wouldnt let me type in it...... so i dont know if it was a bug or not.... i reinstalled it twice after that and then went back to 5.9....
hehe oh well...
anyway...
i just add people to my list as i play them...
So you can still download 5.9?

only question is does AIM still have that limit of 200 people on your buddy list?? it might be a little tricky if people have a lot already on their buddy lists outside the NHL94 community...
but i think it would be very helpful to everyone

Where do you go if you are looking for a pick up game? I see a lot of people have AIM accounts. Do you just set up an AIM account and then keep adding people who play to your list?

Thats a pretty stat keeper DaDonch44, but I am looking to keep about 30 different players stats. Something like Players A's Lifetime record agaisnt Player B etc.

I found a World Cup Stat tracker of the Microsoft website the is also pretty indepth but way over my head to edit. Maybe one of you excel wizzes can modify it for Hockey

I currenlty have all three of the hacks and they are fun to play. I messed around with one of the roms trying to make the goalies and D better since the ease of scoring is my biggest complaint when playing against the computer. But could not really get the right formula.
I know most people are 94 diehards but 95 is my favorite game to play against another person. The controls are so responsive.
I would love to play in a 95 league in anyone started one up.
Currenlty my friends and I do a old school tourneys with 95 a few times a year. Last one we did we have 4 segas going with 18 people.
