  1. "originally," he claimed?! the pass shot has existed the whole time, idiot. it's not like somebody hacked it into the game. you were just lucky nobody knew it was your kryptonite for all of those years. either that or you never stuck with a game long enough without quitting because everybody who is better than you is a cheater or you put your fist through a fishbowl or you threw your controller through the screen or took your drunken frustrations out on your family and went to jail during a season or whatever. get over yourself. the way you play isn't "the way the game is meant to be played." it was a quickly programmed hackjob of a hockey video game that just happened to get it right, mostly. there are things in it that people don't like, but until you learn to hack the game and take passing out entirely, you should just get over it. wow, you throw a fit every other week and expect people to respect your misguided opinions! stop quitting everything you enter. stop posting drunken rant and then promising to sober up. stop blaming others for your shortcomings. why don't you just stop?

  2. when the Bruins are shopping a young star, you know you are getting a chump with almost no motivation to play and possibly with an addiction to having sex with anybody at the local bar, ring on her finger or not. you get a great player with major lockerroom issues. you get a skilled dude and no shot at the cup. good luck with that.

  3. anyway... here's hoping I follow through and do an update after the trade deadline. it's going to be a lot of work. the formula I had going on in an early test update didn't work for all teams, so I'm not sure what I'll do.

  4. I tried my best to keep your nets and puck untouched, I think it is o.k. :-)

it's great. I was thinking the numbers one might not need the little puddle of piss under the player. it has the number for the player selection screen and those little icons don't do much in the game, so maybe they could be straight removed. just a thought. not the one I'm going to play anyway, but I gave it a try it it was neat. obviously it took me many dozens of tries to download the sucker, but it was good stuff. I think you should work with me on the next update. I think we should partner up. I think Ninety Flow should be ours. no worries if you pass, but think about it.
  5. cool. good looking out. love the multiple options. did you take care to leave the puck and net changes alone while doing this? I assume you did, because you know what you are doing in there, but those changes are in the same block of the ROM, so I'm curious. I guess I can download these and take a look....

  6. and if anybody makes such a ROM, share away. I have almost no intention of doing it, but everybody is always welcome to do anything they want with my ROMs, as long as it's not for profit. I think the star is useless and annoying unless you are playing with more than one human player on a team. I am in a very small minority there, but... oh, well.

  7. This a pool for fun and is open to ALL nhl94.com community members.

The forum member who's player is the last to play a regular season/playoff game in the NHL will be determined the winner and will receive all expenses paid vacation to hokkee's cottage.

The list will be updated every time a player has retired or left the nhl to play elsewhere.

    list updated October 20 /14

    1.Jaromir Jagr - Trudatman's pick

    ....

Nicklas Lidstrom - Dangler's pick eliminated May 31/12 1421 days

    Alexei Kovalev - Dmac's pick eliminated Mar.21/13 - 1693 days

    Roman Hamrlik - BobKudelski's pick eliminated Oct. 21/13 - 1929 days

    Teemu Selanne - TubaHero's pick eliminated May 17/14 - 1812 days.

I'm only at 1329 days, so far. it looks like I won't be winning that aspect of this thing. there's a good chance Jagr plays one more year, but two seems like a stretch.

  8. and he might be around long enough for me to make up for the gap between when others picked their choices for last man skating and when he came back to the NHL and I chose him late. I intend to check the period between when the second-to-last guy left and when that player was picked. I will compare that with the period between when I chose Jagr and when he finally bows out. I want to have won that competition fairly.
