Rats. Does anyone know the chances of HFD getting the Whales back in some form? Ever since they moved, I've been sorta obsessed with the idea of their possible return one day.

To further expand on my point, a Hartford Whalers comeback isn't uinfeasable at this point. In fact, about a year or two back, I heard rumors that Pittsburgh MIGHT lose it's team to Hartford. I was wondering if maybe that's not gonna happen after they won the cup this year. Anyone know what the status of the Pens is right now?

I tried hacking NBA Hangtime for Genesis and its as hard as hell. I fell flat on my face trying to hex edit it. I guess i could try gfx hacking. I'll let you guys know how it goes. But you guys inspired me as it partains to doing baseball game and football hacks. I really wanna look into Madden games, specifically the old Maddens for Sega.

Here is my two cents guys:
Back in 1995 or 1996, when they left Winnipeg, for Glendale, bout the same time, ironically that Quebec left for Denver and Hartford left for Raleigh, i simply asked myself one question:
Hockey in Phoenix? what the heck? That's like putting football in Canada!And low and behold, we had the short lived CFL, but that's another story. I thought Winnipeg moving was stupid, especailly to Arizona? Now Canadian fans back me up on this, but um, aren't there more fans in Winnipeg than there are in Phoenix? I know that for a fact. But you see, back in 1993 whrn Minnesota moved to Dallas, there were definently more fans in Minneapolis-St. Paul and they are about the same, thank you goes to the Cowboys and Mavericks, as well as the Rangers (the baseball team), although the Rangers have seen a surge in fan base over the past few seasons, especially this one. But again, that's another story for another time. I do however think that Hartford can support a team in this day and age. They got the Wolfpack, and they've lasted a long while, thus my point being proven that a new Whales team could last in HFD.

Yes. What I mean by rosters is that I need a site that has these rosters as I'm having issuse finding the 99 Sabres Roster. As for the Habs, Rocket, they're there. It's the 1992 team.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to present my "Lengends of the Rink 09" conversion for the Genesis version of NHL94! No team logos or colors will be changed, but I'm probs gonna include the '98 Avalanche, as they did win the cup that year, they just won't replace Quebec.

Some of oyu may remember me saying i was working on a fantasy rom for Genesis only. Wel, I've restarted work and am recoloring the banners through a hex editor called xvi32. I have also added some new teams. Also, there is NO team rated below 70 now.

Alright guys. It's time for another of dalstarsfan's world famous NHL 02 guides. Today we will focus on making arenas.
Let's first, assuming you have the arenapc.viv file (It is found in the gamedata folder) open in EA Graphics Editor
Scroll down and you will see icex_xx (replace xx with number from the following list):

Now, the first part of this is obviously center ice logos.
Step 1 is to extract L256, which is center ice. Save as hfdice.jpeg (Since we are changing it to Hartford's logo, which you can google for).
Next, take the logo into photoshop and copy the background layer. After you do this, take the Quick Select tool (If your on CS3) and click everyhwhere theres black. Press delete. Presto. Background gone.
Next, cut the rest of the LOGO. Leave the red lines around the logo.
After that, put the ice logo on. The key here is to put it in game, and keep stretching/skewing until it shows up facing north to south in game. Best way to do this is avoid adding any text.

Now is the optional part. You can edit ad1 and ad2, as I have.

As you notice, the NHL 2002 and NHLPA logos were replaced by "Hartford Civic Center" which I hand typed and an old New England Whalers logo that I found on google.
