That is concerning. I just got home an hour ago. Vegas had a weird vibe to it today, and there were people at the airport this afternoon that were crying and talking about the carnage they saw. I was on the strip at the time of the event, but safely in my hotel at the other end. (I left the downtown area for a nicer hotel my final night, because the "Fremont Experience" was making me depressed.) Do you have phone numbers, Halifax, or are you just emailing those 7 guys? None of them are forum members, I am guessing? It was a great tourney and a shame this tragedy casts a shadow over everything. Very sobering and unsettling. My heart goes out to those that died and those fighting for their lives in hospital right now because of just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I sure hope our 7 guys are ok.

Also, if anyone has a spare MK-1653 I can borrow for the tourney that would be awesome! I will buy you a beer for sure! (I don't want to count on the quality of the tournament controllers, and the only original Sega controller I can find is the huge ones which feel unwieldy! I have gotten used to using an SNES one for online play, DOH!)

Hey Halifax, maybe you should open it up for people to play for the other system, just for the sake of having more people, for free? I mean, anyone good enough at both, is probably paid/registered for both systems. Putting a guy like me in SNES would give someone an opponent to beat up on, and give me more games! Something SNES guys would probably like? I know it is a long shot, but just thought I would put it out there.

I realize I missed the vote, but just wanted to say: If there is hot and cold, can you make it so what it says in hot and cold (before game screen) is correct? Or is there no patch for that? Also, if there is hot and cold, can you make it so that it is reflected in the Edit Lines player stats? Bottom line, I don't mind hot and cold, but I do prefer to be able to "see it"/"verify it". Also, what do you think about adding the Y-button insta-goalie? I just played VHL and realized I really like that feature... Great work either way, Coach! Love the ROM already!

Yeah, I am in similar situation. I had 3 hotels booked, all with "Cancel By" dates of Sept 27 or so... I kinda figured this deal was in the same ball park. Missed it. Oh well.

Actually I had you in mind when I drafted my team! I think my squad will be Brutus approved. Lemieux and Lindros on forward line, Hatcher and Uwe Krupe on D! (Flyweight Dineen on wing, but I needed one guy with speed.)

That is interesting, Coach. I had my eye on Sawchuk, too. Figured he was the Patrick Roy of this league, based on his 6 agility. But I didn't want to pull the trigger cuz you can't carry Retro Dudes forward. Anyhoo, guess the rest of us are stuck with middling/crap tenders, based on Patrick division limitations. (Though I have a feeling you may have taken Messier, if Jer didn't. You wreaked Havoc with #11 in Et Tu Brute, I remember.) (Also, I would much rather you have an awesome goalie than Raph, that is for sure!)

Meaning, you can draft them whenever? Or are they the last to be drafted, or the 1st, or completely up to me, or what? I think am going to take Mario first, unless one of these retro guys is too superhuman. (The fact that I can't keep a Retro Dude next draft devalues them a bit for me, since I have 0% chance of winning and need superstars to carry forward.) Gonna take a look at the Retro Dudes now... EDIT: Ok, I looked. No superhumans. So...
