If they do not, they will be known forever as the team that always chokes in the playoffs, if they are not already known by that already. Just want to hear your thoughts. angryjay93 Posted September 13, 2009 Report Share Posted September 13, 2009 im not a big fan of the trade, the team becomes the ottawa senators circa 2007, but perhaps even worse. The sharks top 6 is fantastic, their D corps is also solid and their goalie needs a bounce back year. but the issue here is depth, there is none, none what so ever, if injuries arise to the top 6, they suddenly become a vastly undermanned team with epic cap issues. They are currently only about .5 million under the cap, they cant even sign camp invitees such as dan hinote or mathieu dandenault. Also, they let all their bottom 6 depth walk this year, including their top call ups. prediction: if injuries do not arise, this team is a contender that will ultimately fall short.
