kupuck19
As the site indicates, today 5/4/14 is the final deadline. With 5/8 coaches still not at the 42 GP mark we will extend league play one week to 5/11/14. After that DNP pts will be assigned (please don't make us do this) and play-offs will ensue. Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks (jackandjose) and Calgary Flames (LABS_66) for completing their schedules. The Toronto Maple Leafs (kupuck19) have finished their regular season as well. Please reply with your availability if you still have games to finish. Based on the standings considering full game completion here is a prospective round 1 playoff picture: 1. Vancouver Canucks (probob38) vs 8. New York Rangers (Wittgenstein) 2. Toronto Maple Leafs (kupuck19) vs 7. St. Louis Blues (Brutus.Khan) 3. Chicago Blackhawks (jackandjose) vs 6. Buffalo Sabres (jer_33) 4. Boston Bruins (minpind) vs 5. Calgary Flames (LABS_66) Going into the final weeks of the season all teams have proven themselves to have what it will take to contend in the post season. As the New York Rangers quickly improve their record with Free Agent Steve Yzerman taking goalies across the league by storm after a tough start; under coach Wittgenstein have the potential to finish as high as the 6 seed and capable to upset any team with addition offensive powers in Petr Klima and Mike Gartner. The Boston Bruins have solved goaltending deficiencies as Bill Ranford is leading the way in GAA and Save %, in a scenario Vancouver loses all their remaining games and the Bruins find a way to win each one the B's have the chance to take the top playoff spot. The addition of Selanne and Bondra to the top line in Chicago with Jeremy Roenick has provided an incredibly potent offense that can fluster any goaltender, Bondra leads the league in shot % since being picked up at free agency. Coach probob of the Vancouver Canucks has found a way to keep atop the standings since the trade deadline, although the Canucks acknowledge the latter half of the season as had its difficulties due to the increased depth, speed and skill each team has picked up. Good luck and have fun in playoffs! League Leaders: Pts/G 1. Doug Gilmour - TOR - 2.024 2. Pavel Bure - VAN - 2.000 3. Steve Yzerman - NYR - 1.875 Goals 1. Brett Hull - STL - 58 2.
