CoachMac
I do not think it is in 92. Big guys check well. Thoughts?
kingraph
One thing is for sure, there is no b-check as effective as '94. I'm not sure of the player weights, but pure c-checking by all the NYR is difficult and spotty. Most effective is by #3, which I assume is James Patrick. CoachMac
NYR Starting Line-up wt/chk #3 (Patrick) 188/73 #2 (Leetch) 172/33 #9 (Nicholls) 172/93 #25 (Ogrodnick) 212/53 #22 (Gartner) 180/
kingraph
Ooh, I need to be checking with Ogrodnick more! Do you have that info for all teams?
CoachMac
yes. Ogrodnick is a wuss checking, but he can be hard to knock down. The guy I like for checking with the Rangers is Nicholls and it shows in his rating. I learned a lot from my Empty Net League (well except how to beat humans) and Nicholls was a beast. I think the checking rating is most important for checking (amazing idea huh) and weight is the most important thing to not be knocked down. So under my assumption Nicholls (93) would be your best checker, followed by Patrick (73) and Gartner (73) AND Ogrodnick (212) would be the toughest to knock down followed by Patrick (188) and Gartner (180) The Oilers should be loaded just poor coaching I guess #5 (Smith) 220/ 93 #22 (Huddy) 212/33 #11 (Messier) 212/ 73 #10 (Tikkanen) 196/73 #8 (Murphy) 180/73 All the info shows in NOSE. It is really nice how they did it and mostly based on stats. Except Speed, Agility, Shot Power, and Stickhandling. Which are very random. LABS_66
Murphy and Coffey seem to be my big hitters....along with an occasional Recchi the Recking Ball hit
LABS_66
At times I think this version is harder to play than 94 against a human opponent. No one timers, yea goalies aren't that good and scoring may be easier but if your opponent is good on D it will be a long game. Also you have to keep on your toes with D. No GC to bail you out
