As we finish up a successful season 2 of NHL '92, I am interested in getting some feedback on the differences between the 2 games and how they compare especially when speaking of cheats and or bugs. Here is what I know: '92 does not have the Weight Bug. (why? how did it happen in 93 and again in 94?) Pass Shots do not work in '92. Some things I would like to know: What about the b-check, c-check, b/c check is the same or different in 92? Could it help to know what is going on '94 like to help with latest hack smoz is trying? What attributes do you think matter most in 92 as compared to 94. (Same? Different?) Any other feedback about things you liked better …

For my next NHL92 league, I have decided to break Pitt up into 4 teams along some objective lines. My new league rom will have South Pittsburgh, North Pittsburgh, East Pittsburgh and West Pittsburgh. South Pittsburgh has the 3 centers, minus Mario as their starting wings and center, and regular goalies. Extra players are cloned from Philadelphia. North Pittsburgh is basically Mario added at LW to Quebec. East Pittsburgh consists of Pitt's 3 right wings, and 2 right defensemen. OMG, the worst goalie of all time. I think Quebec goalie may be the worst, but cannot remember, been so long. Anything teams throw at this goalie goes in the net, but Lupz and Boston discovered this in game 2, and launched a few ridiculously long shots, that about 4 of 6 went in. Here are a couple.

With the dynasty rule in place, it looked to me like it would be a revolving door of Penguins and Rangers winning the title, but Jay's Canadiens are playing really good. To me, Montreal was always like a poor mans version of Chicago. Chicago has done some things in the regular season and playoffs, but nobody could ever win in the playoffs with Montreal. If the current coaches/teams stay this way, it could still be a Penguins and Rangers champion every two seasons, but it looks like Montreal at the very least has a good chance to play in the finals, if not more.

An exciting opening night of The 92 Winter Classic season. Edmonton and Los Angeles split a Home and Home. Game 1 in LA the Kings won 5-4 led by a Tomas Sandstrom Hat Trick. Game 2 in Edmonton saw the Oilers start Grant Fuhr in goal and he was spectacular in leading the Oil to 6-3 victory. Great games Skeletor! All coaches played tough hockey last season, and as newer coaches learn to play better defense, which is an important part of NHL92, the standings will bunch closer together. Here are projections of the final regular season standings. Before Ron Barr was hired for his dashing good looks, the scouting reports were actually accurate. I noticed as I edited the Penguins down to earth that the scouting report actually showed the changes. Remember in '93 on Ron Barr intro screen which is cool, all the info about team ratings is just fluff and useless. In '94 Ron is always wrong about who is Hot and Cold. The '92 scouting Reports were accurate. Oilers vs Pens Match up with Default Line 1 for both teams. Oilers vs Pens Match up with Pens Line 2 now starting and Line 1 moved down to Line 3. Look at the Pens Line Depth after this change.

While we are waiting for the NHL92 2015 Winter Finals video to be uploaded, and for Mac to finish his objective, stat based rankings, I will post my list of subjective team rankings. I have not put this on my website yet, so I will paste it here. This is based on my experience of using these teams or playing against them, as well as past overall performance of 7 seasons, 8 including Mac's new league. I had always wondered why when the leagues on this site had playoffs they did not use they playoff settings already in the game and just edit the match ups. It would always have to be first round but it would be cool I thought to have it track your best of 7 series. Then each round make the new match ups. It would also take care of the overtime situation and play 5 minute OT periods instead of needing the 99 minute playoff rom. But when I ran my little 93 leagues I never experimented and just did what all the other leagues do and made a 99 minute OT playoff rom.
