What's the difference between smd file and a bin file?

Recommended Posts

I have been playing a rom NHL95.smd is there any difference between that and NHL95.bin. Can you edit smd files like bin files? Does it work in NOSE?

Thanks,

I think its only a different name for the file, just smd means sega master drive and bin is just a basic file name.

In order to play online you will have to have the exact same file, whether its smd or bin.

Good to know. We are also thinking of doing trades in the league. I know that we would have to rerelease the roms. But is the easiest way to do a trade just edit the two players you are trading to their corrisponding traits?

Thanks
