General Discussion

Overall I think the summer league was fun and served it's purpose. Everyone pretty much played as much or as little as they wanted. 11 guys played more than 50 games and 2 more played more than 40. Those are more than full seasons in most leagues. I would definitely like to run this again next summer so please make suggestions on any changes that should be considered. I would possibly raise the minimum games to 40. Also, maybe only have 8 games versus each opponent so a complete season is more doable.

Is there a waitlist for someone to take over the North Stars for summer league? I'll be offline for a few weeks and figured someone should just take over since some guys already have 60 games played. I don't have the time for this many games this summer. Good luck all.

AngryJay drafted the Scouts roster and threw out the challenge of someone playing with them. I am taking that challenge. I am going to try and Exi a full 160 game schedule with the Scouts in addition to my Regular Team. I already have 3 exis done. I will post periodically on my progress. Here is the Official Press Release.

The league will start this weekend, or sooner depending on when chaos has time to put together on site. Play 10 games(5 home, 5 away) against each coach. Obviously you don't have to play all 10 at once. Maybe best to decide beforehand how many you will play at that time and whose home and away. Play at least 30 games and at least 6 different opponents to qualify for playoffs. There are no check points, but I will follow up on coaches not getting games in. We do have one coach on waiting list. Playoffs are double elimination and seeding will alternate between most wins and best winning percentage. Each series is best of 7. Season is 10 to 12 week…

So, I was going to do this big elaborate post about my selections but I mistakenly deleted my post half way through and can't recover it. Instead I'll just hit the high points very briefly and possibly do the write up within the next week. With that said here are the main bullet points behind the process. -This is an expansion draft inspired by the 1974 expansion draft which brought the Kansas City Scouts and Washington Capitals into the league. -The Caps got the first pick in the entry draft while the Scouts received the first goalie and first position player pick in the expansion draft -The draft format was standard (Non-snake) -NHL teams were allowed t…
