Houlanov and I threw in this idea to have a mini-tournament with the 2009 hack version of NHL 94. So far it's preliminary, but since there hasn't been that much activity it might be a good idea to try it.
We were thinking if we could do it with a 8-team or 12-team tourney for this. Maybe a 2 best of 3 game series or 3 out of 5?

If I can make a suggestion, check back on the Roster thread for the lineups so that they won't be any confusions on the names and jersey numbers.
All participants that haven't turned in their rosters should do it now.

You need testers for the ROM? I could be one of those.

I believe fighting should stay in the NHL. Not only does it make games more interesting, players can blow off steam in a legal, controlled environment when an opposing player ticks them off. The MLB, NFL and NBA don't have that, so the NHL is unique that way.
In-fightning, they should remove their helmets and gloves. At least it should minimize the injuries a bit.

Will you also add the All Star teams as well? A New Season option might be nice, but with the NHL 94 engine it may not happen.

Egghh, this has been a boring month so far with no league action for me yet. Been practicing a bit and playing some exhibition games, but I'd like to try and get some real action here.
Are there any tournaments being held these days? I want to get into one.

Try getting the most recent Gens emulator available on the site, like orangeblack92 said. The files should be there.
