  1. I can't speak for the quality of the eBay offerings, but I am very happy with the $20-ish cable I got from retrousb that lets me plug in any Sega controller:

    http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?c...;products_id=69

Allows me to play with quite literally the same controllers I was using 15 years ago, and if I ever break the pad I still have the cable. Just have to go to the Internet and buy another regular-ol' Sega pad for $5.

just got it today in the mail, have to say, works flawlessly. strongly recommend buying this cable.

  2. Lol Tracking the puck? Is it that difficult jeeez!? And yeah we all know coyotes=s**t. Yesterday i watched a BC vs BU game... man was that boring. Seriously, your college hockey sux, all grinders and bums exept 2 or 3, Junior Hockey is really better than college.

i watched that game too. it is what it is, a bunch of amateur hockey players. i enjoyed it, mainly because im from boston and it has a certin intrest to me.

Personally, I wish the NHL would quit trying to appeal to new audiences and appriciate and embrace it's current fanbase. Once they do that, maybe they can improve the game. Unfortunately, I think the game is reverting back to its pre-lockout form. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

*edit: Nice avatar donnybrook, I'm a big Descendents fan, unfortunately I am also a big fan of NHL 95 too!

i agree i wish the nhl would stop trying to appeal to new audiences, but that will never happen because its all about the $$$. the NHL will never be like it was. sadly.

  3. this community is dying

i havent been around even close to as long as you guys but i really dont think this community is dying. maybe some of the hardcore 94ers have been slacking off and not playing there league games, but almost everyday, or so, someone is posting on the "Im new" thread looking to get into this. and like freydey said, look at the 'b' league, (almost) everyone is trucking right through their games.

if this is the community dying, then i wish i could have saw it when it was at its height of populatary.

yeah, ive been on that site a hundred times and never saw that cable untill today. i defentilly think im going to invest in one. thanks man.

  5. Surprisingly there have been a blister of these Sega USB pads available on ebay recently (usually Japanese sellers). If anyone's interested in copping one I wouldn't wait long - they have been out of production and out of circulation for several years now

i saw those, and also i saw a kit on retrousb.com where you can convert a gens controller to usb. im wondering witch i should buy because i feel like i want to have to closest possible experience to the console and the controllers offered on ebay arnt actually made by the sega company rather some dude slapping a sega sticker on them. am i wrong about the ebay controllers? will the sega controller on ebay be legitimate?

  6. just curious, what do you guys use for gamepads? im asking because im using a logitech percision usb game pad (pictured below) and ive had it for quite sometime now and the d pad is starting to stick so im thinking of buying a new controller. now, i saw on ebay they have sega controllers with usb for about 30 dollars, does anyone use one of these or did they make it them themselves? do you think it gives you an advantage over someone playing with a gamepad like the one i am currently using? let me know what you guys think. thanks.

  7. with martin brodeur tying patrick roys career record in wins, and it only be a matter of time before he breaks it, for me it raises a very debatable question, who IS the greatest goaltender of all time? for me its gotta be terry sawchuk. he was probably the most consistant goalie of all time. he holds the record for career shutouts (103) and career ties (172), also terry sawchuk finished his career with 447 wins, a record witch stood for 30 years.

so im curious who you guys think is the greatest of all time.
