  1. as a related aside: can the "Preferred System:" selections code be changed so Kega users aren't shown as preferring "Gens" and SNES players aren't shown as liking "Snes," whatever that is? always struck me as just plain wrong. the text for the choices could just be replaced with more accurate options like "Genesis" and "SNES" or "Super Nintendo." PC and Sega CD could be options, too. as could NHL '93 and NHL '95, I figure.

  2. not sure what a "backboarder" is (basketball?), but Lucic should've been suspended for the stick to the balls. embarrassing and cheap. as a coach, I would've benched him for it. probably just the first period of the next game, but it is unforgivable.

you seem to think I'm easy pickings for your superiority efforts but I set you in your place every time. you just keep acting like you are winning and I figure some people are fooled by the fronting, but you really do get owned routinely to a point where I'd figure you'd sulk away. are you a sadist?

  3. I think it must take a special type of person to support that whiny, cheap, embellishing, dishonorable group of pansies. do they do diving drills? their huge fan base "earns" them vast doubt benefits no other organization in sports seems to enjoy. they are nonironically beloved somehow. for every racist Bostonian, how many entitled crybabies support that dreadful franchise?

  4. what's the deal with the SNES version's crowd? sure, they aren't all coked up and flailing like the frantic exercisers that fill the Genesis rinkside seats, but they seem to have lots of missing limbs and the likes. then there's this that happens for a few frames in the cycles:

what is that block with dots? code copied from elsewhere translated into an image sprite? it's weird, whatever it is. what do other hackers do with it? I considered foam fingers and signs, but I ended up with this:

    anyway... ¿que la fuq?

  5. fixed a few things that might add up to be enough that y'all would want the new one to replace the last one. thanks for the Pouliot correction. I also noticed an error in the COL defensive penalty killers while I was putting Sarich in for Barrie. there might be more of these things to tweak, so check back on occasion. hit me with more tips if you have them. holler.

  6. thanks. I will correct that soon. hit me with anything else you notice, please!

everybody is encouraged to pick this thing apart. find errors and report them to me. it really bothers me that I have Pouliot backward and I have probably made similar mistakes with other players. please review a team or three by pulling up NHL.com roster/player pages and checking stuff.

  7. I don't think the actual injury status should have anything to do with it. Lucic had bad intent and could have hurt the dude very badly. I think his deliberate intent was full of malice while Seabrook's may not have been. both were cheap shots, but Lucic surely meant to hurt the guy. Lucic should have been suspended, for sure. the new guy is clearly worse at making these decisions.

  8. ....My only gripe is how impossible it is for me (since I am on Mac) to get a different color indicator under my player....

I play on a Mac and I can do it. what does the Mac have to do with it?

step one: activate the multitap emulator in the options across the top of the emulator menu bar

step two: set the player one buttons to stuff you don't use, like the keyboard buttons you never hit

step three: set the player five buttons to use your regular buttons/controller

    step four: play

  9. terrible. five grand is one night out for him. terrible ruling. I guess the new guy is showing his lack of spine early. I guess Seabrook will get hit with a $50 fine and an eight-minute suspension for his transgression that probably should get him five games off.
