  1. I watched it.  THANK YOU MIKEY !!

You did a fantastic job!  (Although, I was a little pissed at the way that Jagr treated you. He never gave you a chance to even explain yourself.)

I especially liked the part with Mark Lesser.  Did you ever get to ask him if he still had the Sega Genesis game development software?

I also binge watched all of Ice Pilots, a while ago. Really enjoyed it.

  2. Could someone make a rom that replaces the audience, like the NHL has now? There are NHL logos in the corner boards, and bluish grey drapes over the seats in most other areas.

Of course, also include the center ice Staney cup logo, that they use.

I just think it would be great to have such as rom, as a momento to this wierd time.

Too bad, no one has the source code, to do the actual round robin matchups, etc.

  3. Great job! Fun rom.

I like the way you got rid of the audience and replaced them with bushes. lol

The only thing I don't like (and it's just my opinion) is the look of the rink surface (which I know is supposed to be outdoors).

Can you possibly get rid of all the reflections, and make it look like a smooth green soccer surface (and just leave the

    center ice and blue lines)?

If that's too much work, then skip it, since it's still a great rom.

  4. This is all hypothetical, but I was wondering if it was possible to use NHL94 with an
alternate controller, such as the Kinect for Xbox One?

What I would like to know, is if it is possible to access each action command directly
so they can be mapped to the alternate controller.
To clarify, instead of the Sega controller where A, B, C do different things depending
on when and how you touch/hold each button, the alternate controller would have direct
access to each action, such as "change player", "poke check", "pass", "control goalie", etc.

Even a "1 on 1" game, could be fun, as long as there is decent response, and no lag.

  5. Neat coincidence: a youtube show about arcade games that I subscribe to, released a new video today, with, what must be the variant of Discs of Tron that you remember. "Environmental Discs of Tron". Relevant section starts @4:42.

This guy gives a complete tour. Looks like he has a complete/deluxe After Burner too!? That's a game I've wanted to play ever since I saw it in Terminator 2.
*edit* - Hmmm. Actually, maybe these are both the same as the one in the first video? I dunno.

Wow. Thanks! You're right, the "environmental" version is the large stand up version, that I must have played on.

They might have had some promotional decor around the game (because I remember they had just gotten the game), that made me think it was larger. It now looks a bit boring to watch, but the sensory experience during gameplay was fantastic.

What a great arcade parlor in the video.

  6. It was only at the arcade, and for a limited time.

It was the sequel to the original Tron, and called "Discs of Tron". It was a huge cabinet(referred to as the environmental version) you stood in, to simulate as if you were playing, just like in the movie. Man, was that game amazing. Discs wizzed by you, in surround sound. I read that the cabinet weighed over 700 pounds.

It's one of those items that you put on your "buy if I ever win the big lottery" list.

  7. BRILLIANT, AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!

I don't know how you did it, but it seems (or is it my imagination?) that players are in better positons, so can get to the puck faster, especially on D. Also forechecking seems easier, and therefore, more fun (for me, at least).

I can't think of anything I would change, except for the music assignments. Can you change the pointers so better songs are played? For example, "go team go" instead of some of those lame baseball park tunes?

If you can't, I can live with it.

I have to get to bed, but I can't stop playing this awesome game. lol
