I spoke to him the other day. He is busy and is battling a bout of food poisoning. He did say that he will take care of the draft in a few days.

hokkee, anytime someone comes up with a good idea. we ask the other coaches for input and if needed to vote on it. are there any specific ideas you are talking about that would improve the league? bring them to the table for discussion.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you guys know that skoolyardpuck is replacing me as coach of the Rangers. I've got some things going on in my personal life and I haven't been able to give my full attention to playing games right now. I apologize to everyone who has tried to get a hold of me for games and my lack of availability. I'm not leaving completely, I'll still be around for helping with commishing duties. But I didn't want to play games for the sake of getting them in. I feel that would be unfair to the rest of the league, and I know Skool will be able to keep the level of competition very high. Skool is already set up on the site, so you can contact him to get some games in. Good Luck Skool!

the NHL power rankings is the same stat that the NHL uses to determine the strength of teams. I don't know the formula for it off the top of my head, but I passed it along to Dmitry about 3 seasons ago. its probably somewhere on nhl.com I'll post it up later on tonight for you, if I can't find it now. The other one is a formula that D came up with personally that kinda does the same thing but, I think takes into account the coaches you have played against. Hopefully D can come on and shed a little more light on it for you.

Honestly Carse, I don't mind either way. I'm not sure how the other guys feel about it. But I know that once Hokkee finishes his games in 3 days, he will pester us with posts about how everyone else isn't done and the playoffs need to start already. What do some of the other guys think? I think Carse brings up a valid point, and I would like to see everyone get all their games in. If this is something that would help achieve that goal, then I would be for it.

if you guys can agree on what the score was... then use the game stitcher or the old way of letting each other score until the game is resumed at the right time. otherwise, if no one can agree, then just replay the game.

Hey Everyone. Since no one seems to be having problems, and uploading games is going smoothly, the season can officially begin. The season will start on Friday, October 17th, 2008 at Midnight (tomorrow night at 12 AM EST). No deadlines have been set yet, but I would like to set a lofty goal. Let's try to get every single regular season game played. Until tomorrow night, you will still be able to upload preseason games. Good Luck to everyone! GAME ON!

once all of the problems are ironed out (like PHX's games not showing up) the preseason will go on for a couple more days and then we can get going hopefully before the end of the week. ill talk with AJ and figure out when will be a good time to start. but im leaning for sooner rather than later.
