The Finals for the GDL 9 Cup are set. #1 seed and GDL 7 Champ Carse takes on the newcomer and #4 seed TomKabs93! During the Regular Season Carse was 2-0 with a couple of 6-3 victories. However, TomKabs93 is playing some extraordinary hockey right now. This is shaping up to be an amazing series. Best of Luck to both coaches on their quest for the GDL Cup!! Deadline is Friday, February 1st.

I didn't initially set any deadlines; I wanted to see how the flow of the league would be. It has become obvious that we do need to do something. There is a waiting list with three guys on it; however... dynamo is MIA, Neo hasn't been on in a month and Witt turned a spot down. Currently, snyder is out so Minnesota is open, and now that dcicon wants out, Colorado is also open. So, we need replacements. I'm not against contracting, but with the schedule, it will be a pain in the ass figuring all that out. Get 20 games done by 1/20. (5 weeks) Get 40 games done by 2/20. (10 weeks) Get all 56 games done by 3/20. (14 weeks) I think 3 months is more than enough time to get your games in. DNPs will count as -3 points on the standings (per game) and against your draft spot (if there is a Season 2). Remember there is a message board available (it should work).

Thank you very much for the honor, Halifax! It has been great since being back and my only hope was continuing and improving the greatness that is the NHL '94 Community. I think the talent pool in these leagues continues to go through the roof, and makes the competition that much better for the already established elite players. It is a great honor to share this with Smozoma. He has done more for this community than I can ever dream of. His insight, knowledge, and patience are second to none. Here's to a great 2013!

GDL Cup 9 Playoffs are now ready to be played. Thanks for all the players for participation and activeness. Players who are in the playoffs, let's continue with being active and play the games on time! Contact your opponents using the site's contact method (it's the only way to prove you are active in case the games are not played). Ask your opponents their availability times and suggest times that suits yourself. **Due to kgman being in a prison camp or something, I'm going to extend Round 1 longer than one week. I will contact him to get an estimated ETA. I don't want to give everyone a week and then have to give him longer and be unfair the rest of you.** The Playoff ROM is attached below, the only change is that the OTs are 99:59. Best thing to do in a playoff series for commissioner's point of view is to message the opponent right away today and tell the availability times for yourself, and if there's no answer within a day or two do it again. If then the opponent wakes up to play in last possible day it's too late for him unfortunately if the opponent is nowhere to be found. Dude!!! Do we need to get a "Save an NHL94'er Support Fund" going?? That totally sucks! Do you have friends or family helping you out? Or are you stuck there? I'm extending the season anyways... there are just too many games left to end it. I want people to play a full season.

Due to the insignificance placed on getting the schedule finished, the season will drag on. Every team should have 56 under "GP". Make it so!

Hey Mac, I'm glad you got it figured out. But yes, when the save state is uploaded, the website will check the home and away teams. If they aren't correct, nothing gets uploaded and you get returned to the login screen. I apologize that I have not been around as much this week. I need lines for two more coaches. I will hound them to post them or at least let me know what they are. Let's set a tentative date at Monday for the start of the season. I was hoping all the coaches would at least play a game to test to make sure everything uploaded. I think currently we have tackled any major issues.
