Bud of the year DaDonch has very kindly agreed to do us a website as 94online.com isn't available to us due to some site changes that are happening. If that website is ready next Friday 18th of January the season will start then. Until then you've got time to play exhibs, get used to line changes & figure out your best lines too. Congratulations to "real life" brothers, BoKnowsNHL94 & Carse, who have taken their Los Angeles & Tampa Bay teams to the finals of the GENS 2011 League. Of the 18 coaches that have been battling it out the past 6 weeks, in the end, the two best have been provided by the same parents. A sort of "'94 stud farm" if you will. Thought I would post here, as a certain member of the league, out of nowhere has suggested that i've no idea what i'm doing, the league's a failure and that I should be giving people an extra week to complete.........."because it's hot outside and no one wants to be inside playing '94". Apparently it's a joke to let the playoffs go ahead like this because everyone hasn't completed yet. This person is now suggesting that they will not be playing their playoff series in protest of the shoddy organisation of this league. It can't be taken seriously the way it is apparently! OK Peeps, This is it - The official, league ready 2012 rom. This is the one to use for all league games. I'm taking no credit for this. The hex editor was total gibberish to me. Smozoma talked me through it step by step & I just followed the master's instructions. The fatigue & recovery rates have been adjusted to be identical to the 2011 league rom. In Clockwise's rom the players got shattered really fast, so after a couple of attacks ur guys were crawling around the ice. We still have 2 1st round series that need played in A. Vocally Caged (Caps) vs. dcicon (Blackhawks), and Icestorm (Leafs) vs. Beavers (Isles). Mav will play the winner of the series between Sicarius and Wookiee for the B title. I understand Sicarius has suffered a hand injury so that may have a bit of a delay. Main focus though, get that 1st round in A completed. Just a reminder, using the schedule a game forum provides evidence that there was an attempt to get the series played. I don't have a deadline set at this point because I don't feel it's necessary yet. But sometime this week would be preferable.

Congrats to Mav who's completed his comeback from banishment by taking his Redwings into the GENS 12 B finals after beating Anaheim in 5. Every game was unbelievably close & was anybodies going into the 3rd period each time. Somehow the chances always seemed to fall for DET at the crucial times though. Well done Mav. Even though we don't even have a real timetable for when this league's gonna start, people are already picking teams (yeah, I started it, I know), so we'll just get that out of the way now. It's much more casual than classic because, quite honestly, the team means very little in this ROM. The difference between the best and worst team in the '11 rom was like 10, and last season most people just chose their favorite teams. Nantucketred has obviously run for the hills after realising he's not the NHL94 super hero he thought he was & I just have 1 game against Vancouver to complete my season. I'm sure they can still make playoffs if someone fancies taking them?

After getting some feedback of an alternative idea, the consensus of most that I've talked to is to just stick with what we've already done and leave the format as is. So here are the final 2 deadlines: January 9th: 22 games. Failure to reach may result in replacement. If there is a special circumstance that you cannot reach this deadline, let me know in advance. January 16th: 28 games (completion of regular season). Failure to reach will not result in replacement, but it will result in DNP's, which in the gens '11 league was a 1 point subtraction for each unplayed game, so we'll stick with that. Just spoke to Dan. He says that in about 2 hours (11:00am Central at time of writing) the 2012 website will be back up. The aspspider servers have been down for about 24 hours so he's going to move the whole site to a different server. Where is everyone? Most in B league are above today's deadline, minus a couple, but the A league appears to be at a standstill! Such an amazing rom, I can't understand why people aren't on & posting scores. It's not my league this season, but i'm sure I speak for everyone when I say please let us know if you're not going to play your games, so we can make replacements & those of us who are committed to the league can keep it moving along!

Well, deadline's today and we've got exactly half of the league I believe NOT above the deadline, including the vast majority of A. I've been made aware that some people will actually have more free time to play around the holidays. We've had 3 people play a combined 6 games for the Islanders in A. I can only replace so many, and I said before that my main goal was to get everyone's games played and only replace people who absolutely could not play. It seems like some people are taking advantage of how much slack I've been giving. Not accusing anyone, but that's the impression I feel like I'm getting. Hi All, As ProBob hasn't been seen all week me & Danliz have decided to take the initiative & keep things ticking over, as a number of guys have't been too active the past 10 days. People have had at least 2 weeks or more to get to just 7 games, so we're going to set checkpoint 2 for this Friday 16th December (7 days time) at 14 games.
