I have fooled around with Interplay Baseball 2000 for PS1 and NHL Hitz Pro for PS2.
Triple Play 96 for genesis too.
I've worked a little with Triple Play Gold as well Mack. I found World Series Baseball to be a better game though, I plan to do some work with that down the road.

Has anyone here tried to hack other classic games? I've seen clips of hacks for Mario, Sonic, and Mario Kart on youtube. Some look pretty cool and were also done using Tile Molester.
Just curious if anyone has given this a shot.

Great ROM, Sabre Dance. I find myself once again playing season mode on a sports game that's a decade or more old. :-p Too bad you can't have all the teams in Season Mode. Oh well...

Yeah, the goaltender can get caught out of the net and held out by opposing forwards or his own defenseman. That is one silly example of a long list of bugs in 95.

yeah you're right about 97 and 98 being pretty much the same game. i did download your nhl97 a couple days ago and i might be wrong but are some teams missing? for some reason i dont remember seeing the blue jackets and another team that seems to be slipping my mind. not that i really care because i have never even thought about playing with the blue jackets or anything. i pretty much only play with the flyers unless theres a "tournament" me and my friends play where we just choose whatever team. but i do have to thank you for making a great game and having it all up to date and all with the trades. also the two line pass was annoying

i'm really surprised that there arent like any hack for nhl 98. i cant even tell you how many hours i spent playing this one because it was the last on the genesis. i've played all the others too forever especially 94 and 96 but i always thought that 98 was just a great game with players having special moves and all. i've been looking for an updated version of this but just cant find it. i would make it myself but have no clue on how to hack the game and then what to rate every player. i really appreciate the people who do this type of thing because you have to be really dedicated to redo a whole game that you're not being paid to do. well anyway this whole post is to ask if anybody knows of anyone who updated nhl98 and where i can get it?
How about 97, it is essentially the same game minus the 2 line pass annoyance. The Whalers are relocated to Carolina as well in my hack. As far as the players special moves, it is not in my hack. The special moves are related to team and player numbers only. For example, if I wanted Thomas Vanek to have a special move, I would have to change his number to 16 (Pat LaFontaine was the only player on the Sabres to have a "move" in 97).

Thanks Mack, it means a lot to me that you enjoy it. Slapshot is also trying to ass the trapezoid behind the goal-line. I have added some graphics to the side-boards similar to your 96 hack. Thanks again to Slapshot, I wouldn't have been able to finish it without him.

Yes, the low speed selection makes the game very good. Any chance to get rid of the two line pass rule?
I exchanged a few e-mails with Chris Shrigley who was the lead programmer for 98. I introduced myself to him and told him about this community and how I have been hacking his game. When I asked him about removing the 2 line passes, I swear I could hear him laughing through my monitor. He told me how EA wanted that function a priority and that it was a total pain in the ass to add. He also told me that it isn't as easy as changing some codes. Oh well, at least I tried...

98, really? I wish I hadn't spent a minute on that game simply because of the 2 line pass (although I do love the game speed selection). I would consider working on it if I had some help. My 97 is complete and I will e-mail it to slapshot and hopefully he will be willing to post it on his site. I'll keep everyone posted.

I was at the game and witnessed this accident first hand. It was complete silence in the usually sold out and boisterous HSBC Arena for several minutes until the arena announcer confirmed his stability. It was so quiet that I could actually hear the Zamboni engines running. As per a press conference minutes ago, Richard suffered a severed carotid artery, contrary to the jugular vein injury that the Buffalo News reported. Richard is recovering in the ICU and should be moved to a general med/surg floor within the next few days and discharged in a week. He will be allowed to resume normal activities in 6-8 weeks. how is that 30 team rom coming along?
It is essentially done but I just want to add some finishing touches to it. What I really want to do is add anti-aliasing to my logos. I really never noticed how important it is to the finished product until I saw your decade roms. To be perfectly honest, I have been slacking on my 97 rom and working on my NFL 98 hack but I hope to do some serious work on it over the weekend.
