AILD
Chara Lidstrom Weber Can someone explain why Visnovsky is not a finalist?
smozoma
Yeah, I'm wondering that, too.. great season by Visnovsky... Anyone know who does the nominations for the Norris? Do we chalk it up to the usual "no one watches west coast games" complaint?
AILD
I mean, he had more goals, assists & points (obviously) than Lidstrom. A better +/- (Lidstrom was actually in the negative). Played more minutes per game. Had 4 game winners including 2 OT goals. Guy is getting hosed!
AILD
and Lidstrom ends up winning! wow. My only other gripe was Byalsma over Trotz. Other than that, decent awards ceremony.

AILD
wtf its normal that Lidstrom won, hes the best He's a great defenseman, no doubt. But they shouldn't just give it to him.
RedWingDevil
Lidstrom isn't the only guy who won the Norris despite having -2. Rob Blake won it once and he was -3.
AILD
Lidstrom isn't the only guy who won the Norris despite having -2. Rob Blake won it once and he was -3. It's a travesty! Actually, I don't care that much...I'm just saying.... Visnovsky got screwed. 18 goals (2 more than Lidstrom) 50 asst (4 more than Lidstrom) +18 (Lidstrom was -2) 4 game winners (Lidstrom 1) Also had more time on ice per game. On the other hand, Lidstrom played in all 82 games and Visnovsky only played in 81 (SCRUB!). Maybe that was the deciding factor
kupuck19
Ya let's give it to Lidstrom because he has won so many and has the advantage of the name "Nick Lidstrom"... Visnovsky's stats should have AT LEAST made him a finalist... buckfuttman...
