Needless to say, that thing is awesome.
I love pretty much everything about this - the "NHL ARCADE" logo, the zamboni, the faceoff image, the NHL, NHLPA and EA logos, and all the little team logos around the screen.
I think the side panel art from 95 goes great. It goes with the whole NYR/VAN theme, and is recognizable as a EA NHL series image.
Great job!

As with other years, some guys currently have winning bids, but it will put them over the cap. Is this legit? Or should any bids putting you over the cap be disallowed unless you drop a player at the same time?

Damn. I'm busy that day. I'll watch the Twitch stream.
As for the location, my guess is NYC.
-
Congrats AJ!
-
According to the other thread, these guys should also be Free Agents:
Jeremy Roenick
Patrick Roy
Don Sweeney
Of course, their bidding starts at their current contracts.

Happy Holidays to you Evan, and everyone else!
There's a lot to be happy and excited about in the NHL 94 community.
Cheers!

I've heard that editing is what ultimately determines a film's success, so here's hoping it's going well for ya!
Looks like you're in good hands and have made great progress already!
What started as an ambitious dream is beginning to look more and more like reality!

Let's do this! Let's get started with bidding.. We could give more than the usual 24 hours (maybe 48 hours?).
I haven't had time to play much lately, but I have lots of time to bid, and think about bidding. Can't wait to get started.

Fun Fact:
There is a Joby Messier who plays D for the Rangers in NHL 96. Sounds like a fake name, but I googled him. He exists and was a cousin of Mark.
-
I would be all for folding Michigan and then each team can only protect 2 forwards, 1 D and 1 goalie (an expansion draft of sorts), but it would be too much work at this point.

Congrats Tim! It's great to see some new(ish) blood making their mark in Classic!

I don't have any tickets for you, but tickets are relatively cheap and always readily available for mid-week games. It's not like Toronto where you need connections to get a ticket!
I recommend Seat Geek to find some great value tickets in your price range. There are no bad seats in the house really.

Hi 357,
I repaired the bucks. I hope now it will work:-) Thank you for your help. If you would find some new bucks let me know.
Bob, you have to use DOSBOX as Kiba wrote. But it´s also good to use PARALLELS where you can start windows under mac. Than you can you WNHLinfo too for editing the game.
Coool. Thanks guys. I will check this out sometime when I have a couple hours to kill. e.g. Christmas break.

What is the start date? I would consider this league

Great turnout so far! I'm anxious to get this started. Like Don Cherry says... Let's goooo!
If bassist's team (formerly King of 94's team, formerly Brutus' team) is dissolved, that puts three high end UFA's on the market - Lemieux, Selanne and Fedorov. Boom!
-
I would love to play this!
Petermaly13 - you mentioned playing NHL 95 PC on a Mac. How do you do this? Is there a tutorial for this?
Thanks

I had to go with Blades of Steel because it was just awesome when it came out. The anticipation of a close-up hockey fight was beyond awesome. I also loved the vocals and the soundtrack.
I have played some Ice Hockey recently and did not enjoy it, but I can see how it would be good for competitive gaming against a worthy competitor.

Those are all great souvenirs! Good job.

For those interested in SNES, I have successfully set up my brand new MacBook air to play it online using Hamachi and ZSNES. I kind of stumbled into it via trial and error so I don't know if I could explain it to someone else, but I think I'm using Playonmac to do it.
I also have OpenEmu for all sorts of SNES, NES, GENS etc. games. It works perfectly. It's an awesome emulator. I love how you can scroll through your library of games with all the original cover art. It's as if I own a vast library of cartridges on multiple systems!!

- Ottawa stores all their expansion draft notes on a laptop, but the battery dies and no one thought to bring a power cord.
Sounds like something I would do. Sens for life!

Ha! I saw that the other day when I was searching for Christmas gift ideas. Pretty random.

Awesome stuff!
I have seen the Jake the Snake movie and also loved it. I will have to check out the hockey docs you mentioned.
Devils retro poster a throwback to NHL 94

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.
The Devils are having a retro night game against the Caps and released an NHL '94 inspired poster. It's pretty nice looking!
