I hope this draft will be looked back as the mistake by the lake..... drafting 3 forwards in 1st 3 rounds = your untimely death. I think we found out last year Goalie's make a pretty big impact; the stats are there. We'll find out this year if quality D men make just as big of a difference.

yea... I feel it is unreasonable to think we could get this draft in 1 day. 24 coaches... from different time zones... with different work schedules... where this online video game is not exactly a life priority.... The draft last year took 1 or 2 weeks? It worked out great. It will require some patience, but it will be worth it when it's finished. There is no way I am going to cancel something during my day's schedule for an online video game draft, and I feel I'm not the only one in this category.

sandstrom and robitaille is a great combo...... you can put either at C for some good one timer combos although it's obvious to put sandstrom at center.... robitaille can make some great moves at LW p.s. Gretzky is great to have on defense, and great on the wing (although some of his passes are a bit stiff)

why? because he hasn't posted a draft pick that is due in 4 days? this isn't even funny....

have a wish list ready to give to donche... so that when your pick time comes up, there is a person on your list who you will draft. and how about people take some ADHD medication? I'm not going to have a pick ready when I'm away from the computer.. I need to see the entire list of available players and all of their attributes. So I don't think people will buy into it.

I'll agree with you, it did lead down a slippery slope. No need to follow him down that slope, though. Everyone who has played in 2 GDL leagues will know a few ins and outs when it comes to drafting. Those bottom 5 newbies might need a few hints; nothing wrong with that. With the situation they are in.... facing the vets they will be playing, do we expect any of them to contend at all? I'll be lending a hand where I can.

Jay, You have a penchant for making decent players contributors. However, just because Pierre Turgeon has 190 points on your team doesn't mean he will have that many on my team. With that said, not everyone has the knowledge that you do when it comes to strong players in the 70s. I certainly don't. If you want to be constructive with the points that you are making, maybe you can put out some sort of draft guide for other users to go by so they know not to pick up Ray Borque when Don Sweeney is available. I feel your argument with EA isn't really the best use of your energy; his points seem valid, and his position in the last GDL league shouldn't have any weight on what he brings to the table.

I propose we vote to shut everyone the hell up. And then change the name of the penalty to a picture of naked Jessica Alba. That will make everyone happy.

I remember the time I went to the Wachovia center last year.... and Crosby had his first hat track. I thought the Flyers fans were going to pelt me with rocks and pepper me with buckshot with my Penguins shirt on. previous "faces" of the League Gretzky - equally as stoic as Crosby Lemieux - cool only because he does stuff like beat cancer Jagr - um... not really the face of the league because people didn't watch hockey when Lemieux and Gretzky left. And Don Cherry says he's Lemieux's daughter.

all coaches are very good. I think you did a good job of aligning the divisions fairly, Donch, and any talk of stacked divisions is based off of personal bias. One division may be slightly better, but not marginally by checking the names in each division. If you start trying to rank coaches.. you'll just have 24 people that will disagree. There are too many variables to effectively rank this many people.

any interleague play would be way too much logistical work. however, 2 leagues really isn't double work; you have the infrastructure already set up; most of the work is in assembling the 2 roms, and using the editor just about anyone is capable of doing it.
