I see where both you guys are coming from. Although I'm leaning towards what rocket said. This would be huge. From on outsider looking in my take on it is maybe the A guys like Habs are getting bored playing the same damn people and want the community to get better, but my personal opinion on this is it's never good when you have hand outs to people who don't work for it. By working for it, I mean putting in the many hours and instant replays and exhib's, etc. that you A guys did to become where you are today. I don't like handouts, nor will I read them ('94 Bible). But I think it's unfair to you guys. I always liked to take the harder path in life to learn from. Having these answers right in front of noobs could backfire in a way. One, they won't appreciate it. The work. And two, where will the drive to become better go? Sure, reading it and actually doing it are two different things. I still can't do the pass shot consistently. I probably will never beat flasox, ever. But I've accepted my limitations in this game. I can strive for A (low A) league one day I hope. And, if I get there I can say I did it by myself. I thought it was enough really for Angryjay's line edit combos. That's the core of the game right there. Now you have the answers in front of you, learn how to score with them. I've seen goals that I still have pictured in my mind scored on me by Sebe (weird pass shot goal in close) , Dcicon, and hokkee (five hole slapper from a certain angle). I didn't want to do instant replay and am still trying to figure out how they did them. I practice them, "was that it?" No, "Maybe this way?" That's what makes us unique players. Know your limits and focus on your strengths to compete. We might not respect each other on here at times but we all pretty much respect each others games and I'd hate to see that respect get lost. Just because some A guys are better than me doesn't discourage me. I have to play my game and go with what works. Find their weakness somewhere. I ranted a little and probably got off topic. But Habs, I know you're good , you know you're good, we know you're good, I'm not going to tell you what to do. But think about it first. This would be like wikileaks of '94. And you can never go back my friend. Will this taint '94? what do you guys think?

played some more games against probob. ping was 28 and 31, same server. Scores were like 7-6, in that area. Off-sides were a little more frequent but, the computer really does a good job of trying to stay on-sides. I was impressed. A lot more faceoffs compared to classic, and I lose most. Two issues did come up. #1- icing was non existent when I had my goalie pulled to get the extra man, I was down by one. Probob dumped it 3 times from back by his net and no icing whistle when I touched. It was like the computer gets tricked into thinking there was a penalty kill. Icing was called I BELIEVE during the course of the game but I forget. #2- 1 time only. I couldn't change lines. I kept holding down A, and the fatigue bars never appeared. But my player did keep dumping the puck. This occurred on the same shift, I tried 3 times. As soon as the whistle blew, I of course was able to change. I did also notice that my line was DRAINED to zero energy (all grey in color) when I was finally able to change. Now, I don't know if this is some fluke or did I allow my guys to get drained to zero and then for whatever reason the game won't let you change? Or it was at zero because I couldn't change. Most likely that. somethings I noticed for you computer editing guys. Maybe you can shed some light on it. I know it's a new rom and probably has to work out some kinks. But the end result is it still can be played for a season. FYI if anyone else experiences these things or new things please post. probob did also mention the line change incident happened to him once. oh and no desyncs, no problems

Just got done playing LARobbie a few games. First two games with 5 minute periods and the last one was 7. I like the 7 better for THIS ROM. It gives you a little more time to cycle the lines and rest scoring line 1. I still hold down B for goalie control out of habit but, the instant goalie control does work online. No problems, no desyncs, no speed up issues. My ping was something like 38 and his was something like 52, we used 74 server. It is a very different game we are all used to playing. Cycle the lines often. Oh as far as the off-sides issue goes... we had 2 total the first game. Both by me and could of been avoided. We had 1 the second game by me again- dumb computer AI, and like 2 the second game, one of those could of been avoided. So, surprisingly, there weren't as many as I was expecting also. My concerns were like some of yours with the computer always going off-sides. Maybe the different awareness ratings effected this? Anyway, my two cents. The rom we used, well mine says, NHL 94 (Playoff Edition 2011) in my folder. to give you an idea of the scores to get used to, for us scrubs anyway. With 5 minute periods= game 1- 3-0 him 5 min game 2- 4-0 me 5 min game 3- 6-4 me 7 min so you can see the increase in score with the extra minutes. this should be fun if everyone can get it working. but don't come to me for computer help lol. I can give you my rom and that's about that. see ya

I just read he had oxycotin? in his system mixed with alcohol. I can't believe how dangerous that drug is when mixed. We might never know the circumstances but one has to wonder just how much he was taking, why was he by himself?- seems weird to me a million dollar athlete is getting smashed by himself in an apartment, don't these athletes have round the clock care by professionals? I have so many questions about this situation.

yeah it isn't, but, that's what was the breakthrough with this ROM. Is the option of having instant goalie control btw, when I do play this rom it usually takes me to the middle of the third period in my 5th game of playing that i realize I had the avail option to use instant goalie control because im so used to playing without it.

ok this is where I get lost. I understand the whole upload thingy with the hoagie password just like in season mode. But before that, I'm confused. Could someone please explain step by step what to do for a computer idiot. Literally, I mean, click file, then quick save... etc. Like your talking to a two year old. This is what I know. After a game when the 3 stars appear hit quick save. A couple of guys told me press f5 (but for whatever reason my computer tells me I cannot do that under netplay, blah blah blah) so I go the route of file, then quick save. That way works. Then nothing appears. Is something suppose to appear? Like a folder? So Zalex told me about change state. I clicked that a saw a check mark next to the number 0. Now what? Am I on the right track at least? Can I hit pause when the 3 stars appear to give me more time to finish this save? What if everyone drops and I didn't save it yet? These might seem like dumb questions but I don't understand.

yeah I just took a brief look at B2 regular season O.T.'s and yeah, there were a lot more than I thought. Average= 3-4 for 40 games. So the O.T. issue definitely needs to be addressed going forward what guys want. Some guys had 6 or 7 O.T.'s! Some had none or 1.

That is true about the signup. I did forget about the rapid fatigue so now I'm leaning towards 7 min. that way you have a couple more chances with scoring line 1.

since it is '11, too bad someone can't hack a new rom version with 5 minute OT (4 on 4 also or would that be asking too much?). It's probably impossible to do. But even if you play 5 minutes of the 60 min 5 on 5 and there is no score. Close the rom and open a shootout. That would be closer to real life. OR You know what would be real cool? I just thought of this. You know he made a two on two version right? Since I've played Summit, it's real cool 2 on 2. If O.T., close the rom up, open the 2 on 2 version for one 5 minute period. If no score after that, do a shootout. But then you might have to close that 2 on 2 rom up again and re open the original '11 version to use shootout mode. A little work, but how often are there O.T.'s and then no one scoring in O.T.? the more I think about this way the more I like it. You then are incorporating both of Clockwise's versions. Plus, in my regular season I think I had only 2 o.t. games and in both games someone scored. So I don't think it's that big of a p.i.a. I would have to look at everyone's season and count the o.t. games and the results. If this '11 is going to be different then what everyone is used to, then let's make the o.t. different as well lol. what do you guys think?

If this would happen.. two things come to my mind. It's a totally different game then what people are used to playing around here and 1) people won't sign up to play- hard enough as it is to get guys to play the version we are using now and 2) with offsides on and line changes- the game would take a long time to finish with 7 minute periods. I think if offsides are on, it definitely have to be 5 minute periods. But then again, with 7 minute periods you would get to see other players not normally out there at least twice a period instead of maybe one shift. My faceoff percentage already sucks ass enough and I think the faceoffs would double. We would have to test it with both times doing exhib's long enough to tell which one is better. Definitely not 10 minutes. Unless you're on the console or not playing on-line.

I have been wondering the same thing. Will they be the Jets again? If not, that really sucks. Same with the Whale. Do we have anyone here from Connecticut btw? (same with buffalo) Try going back to the black hockey skate that Bure wore, that was the coolest. Now I have to try and find my awesome Canucks hat from the 90's, f**k that thing is probably long gone. I loved that hat, it had the logo running down the side, I'd wear it with my Nordiques jersey. I agree, and I tried. But unless the other B guys feel the same way I do, it'll never happen I guess. Plus, like Zalex said, we have guys from both countries with 0 games played, kinda hard to do anything with that. They might be real busy, who knows. But I'm letting you guys know the option is there on the table. I'm pretty sure me, kingraph, orangeblack and one more USA guy are in (sorry I forgot his screen name but I have talked to him), and Dan is always a go, but he needs some help from Canada. I'm confident we can get some games in and that will be awesome.

yeah but I also would like to see like you said just B-B. I understand where you are coming from with the B-A/B, but if I teamed up with say kingraph and played Houly, we're toast. He'll mop up the floor with us. I think it will be real competitive B-B. Just like A-A.
