The -2 for dnp's seems fair to me. If you don't make time for your games there has to be a consequence. I don't remember the dnp penalty being an issue in the spring classic. I think freys problem was different as he just wasn't available this summer and should have dropped out. However, I'm sure he didn't want to lose his spot in this awesome league. So maybe there should be a way to sit out a season and come back the next without going through waitlist.

I was thinking a classic 3 round draft league with 16 teams would be cool. 1st round you pick your team. 2nd and 3rd rounds you would pick free agents from the pool of players left over from the remaining 8 classic teams that weren't selected in the first round. These rounds would be picked in reverse order from 1st round giving coaches with weaker classic teams a better chance to improve their club. Trading is a possibility too. Finally, from your classic team selected, 2 free agent draft rounds and trades you would make up your 12 man roster. 8 team divisions. 4 games against each divisional rival and 2 against each team from other division. 44 game season followed by playoffs.

What is this guy talking about? There is no delay in gens that is noticeable. If there was, I wouldn't be playing. Also, lag and disconnections are rare in my experience.

Minpind might have actually won the tougher division too. I played in both as Jets and won 28 games in b1 and only 15 in b2.

-Joined nhl94 this past January.
-My first 3 exi competitors were plabax, tomkabs and kingraph. All were very welcoming and then crushed me. I had never seen a pass goal(except accidental ones) and these guys gave me a crash course.
-I had never played a human either before joining this site. This probably explains my horrible manual goalie play.
-I absolutely love playing in leagues and join as many as possible.

I like the 40 game season. Could probably finish a 20 game season before first checkpoint.

Let's do a draft league for B players and newcomers. Between classics these players have no where to go to fuel their enthusiasm for 94. Sure, some are playing in the current gdl, but most B players from the spring classic have basically disappeared and will probably not be seen again for the most part. A league like this might go a long way to keeping these players involved and grow the overall online participation.

How about an even Steven league. Play each opponent 4 times(2 home, 2 away). Home team chooses which team they will use and away team has to use same team for both games. Ottawa, Hartford, etc. could now be used without fear of being over matched. Would be a good warm up for fall classic.

B1 is same as B2 so you could be in either.

The league mods will place you in the appropriate league. Probably B unless you start beating plabax.

Plabax, can we get an update here and get this done so we can start season 2 already? Soon I might just have to declare myself champion. Lol. I can do that, right? Pretty sure I saw someone else do that.

Dc's got a point. Freyday had no more right to be in playoffs then I did(at least I played all my games). So essentially he is taking jaylighters spot as a replacement and should be the 8th seed.
