  1. Going to have to put some work in to recreate bug, Was hoping to autoskip to April win a few games to recreate bug, but it looks like I will have to do about 20 games at end of season to make it happen. Fun fact the the actually attributes of player must not mean anything when doing autoskip as I traded a bunch of great players to the Flames and they went .500 and Mike Donnelly lead the league in Goals without Wayne and Luc on the Kings.
  2. I'll mess around with it, What program should I use? GENS?
  3. had to spread the word of Smoz's big brain
  4. Awesome work. I think you are the first person outside the EA programmer that messed up to know exactly where the glitch was!!!
  5. This one really makes me think about my life choices. I could of learned an instrument or a language but I chose retro video game roster knowledge....
  6. maybe mutant league hockey since there is no nhl license?
  7. Correct, no fighting in 95. In 96 it was brought back but the mechanics were different. I liked the nhl 93 dodge fighting back and forth better.
  8. I know it happens in the Sega Genesis Version, not sure on SNES or PC. To get around it and you don't want to lose games you can "Start season after today" on the cart. Pretty Crazy after a quick google search I found people talking about the glitch in 1995 https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.games.video.sega/0oZlyfQqiYM
  9. Final recap of event, aged like a baby for 9 months. http://www.segathon.com/ryder-cup-2017-now-with-the-cult-of-ren/
  10. You have not made it as an NHL player until....
  11. Not Exactly sure. Need to contact this guy https://twitter.com/Str8OuttathePit He's the main man running it,
  12. The NHL 94ers are in the Majority of Map, even if that is just 500 dudes in the Northern Hemisphere Reach out to the guys on Twitter. Us Segathoners are band from Canada after we complained about a mouse in our beer bottle
  13. http://sbsb156.wixsite.com/nhl95championship NHL 95 World Championship with the Waterloo Tribe is this weekend. Follow the above Twitter feed for pics of NHL 95 Goals and Empty Old English 40s
  14. Don't make me fire up my account at tecmoworld again....
  15. You have a 99 Meme Skillz rating. I need to check out that retroarch. Once I get my last kid out of diapers I'm dusting off the usb controller and start online playing again.
  16. It's a practice option in game, but those marketing wizards called it JAM mode. Also what is this Retroarch witchcraft you speak of?
  17. able to catch some of the stream. The Colton games were fun to watch. Nice set up. Always fun to hear Arda.
  18. Impressive! NHL 95 has 1 on 1, 1 on 2, and 2 on 2 as a feature in the game called JAM MODE. It's pretty fun. Between Season, Trades, and Create a player it had a ton of new features.
  19. All the tournies I know about are sega, but that is normally because other tournies find my page and reach out. It is really amazing that there are still groups in pockets of the world that still play retro games like this.
  20. Use this forum post instead NHL 95 Aficionados Start planning for Toronto 2020 NHL 95 Tribes (Tournaments) are held throughout the world. For years the NHL 95ers were hidden as it was a taboo subject to say your preference was 95 rather than the famous 94 or the Blood and Fighting of 93. But as these games are now 20 + years old the warring faction of NHL years have signed a truce and have united under the 16 bit Tent of NHL94.com Now there is talk of a Tournament of Touraments of NHL 95 in Toronto August of year 2020. We have assembled a map of Tribes historic Territories. Stay tuned for more info.
  21. Ooof I am drawing a blank For sure, top right Hull, bottom right Goulet Pretty sure Lafontaine in center Left side I drawing a blank on both
  22. Mostly it's taking out a stud on one team to make the game even. Although it can backfire, for instance, when you take out Robataille on kings (in 95), he still subs in on penalties still. So it was better to play 4 on 5 against if you can have his sweet slapper on the ice.
  23. Wanted to share a new way of match ups for NHL if games are getting stale I suppose most advanced virgins, nerds, NHL 16 bit players play Madison Style where you call the match up and the other player picks their prefered team. Eventually the team selection gets pretty repetitive. I came up with this after shooting a little HORSE on the bball court when calling a shot. For instance "Opposite Hand Layup" "From Elbow, Bank Shot" etc An example in NHL would be Dallas vs Vancouver (No Bure), it really opens up the match ups. Personal favorite is Ducks vs (Insert Team) but opposing player gets to set other teams lineup. What we normally do is go on to playoffs and then every random match up we need to apply HORSE parameters to it.
  24. Thanks for the input. I too am a purist, but I am also getting old and after help setting up 80 CRT's at Tecmo Madison I am reevaluating my purity. May just have to start spinning flatscreens like an outdoor game where the ice isn't perfect and players need to adjust
  25. Nice Recap. 1. Can you try a 4 way on it and see if that works? 2. For reg season games (not playoffs) would you think most buds wouldn't mind playing on it? Would sure be nice if we could use utilize flat-screens in bar at tourneys.
