IAmFleury'sHipCheck
Please note this only pertains to the first 6 rounds of the GDL3 Draft and if these guys didn't make it in the 1st 6 rds of GDL2, then they were excluded from these lists... Top 10 Climbers 10. Sandstrom, U.Samuelsson (+16) 9. Sakic (+18) 8. Daigneault, Janney (+19) 7. Lebeau, Carson, Konstantinov (+25) 6. Drake, Sjodin (+26) 5. Kovalenko (+42) 4. Khristich (+44) 3. Gagner (+45) 2. Verbeek, Broten (+60) 1. Emerson (+66) So based on these movers, are you an evil genius or just a chump? I guess we'll find out this season. I'm hoping for evil genius since both my wingers made this list. lol Top 10 Divers 10. Muller, Kamensky (-22) 9. Nieuwendyk (-23) 8. L.Murphy (-26) 7. Neely (-27) 6. Ricci (-31) 5. Linden (-39) 4. BrindAmour, Desjardins (-47) 3. Ranford (-48) 2. Jagr (-58) 1. Messier (-68) So based on these movers, maybe you drafted some value studs or some extreme duds. Only time will tell. smozoma
I picked Ranford way too early last season, so he bombed this year. The verbeek pick stuck out to me as too early.. but apparently he has "good reach" or something :/ The main trend: fat guys were drafted later and light guys (good checkers) were drafted earlier. Can you make the +/- relative the average from seasons 1 and 2? That would make it more accurate (eg, my picking Ranford too early last year wouldn't have such a big effect). I can do that and do have that planned. However, just b/c you felt you picked Ranford too early in last season's draft is a relative matter. You could make your same argument for Messier or that Emerson got picked too early this season. I do know what you're saying though.
Logan
Having picked the biggest climber this season, I hope i'm not a chump. Emerson in second cetainly seems odd. I mean, how many people really know about his skills as easily as Roenicks, sakics, etc. However, consider this. The guy had 4/4 speed and weighs the same as Roenick does. He's a good hitter with decent passing, and with Dino at center, it's a pretty good combo.

Late 2nd round seems pretty reasonable to me. That part of the draft went Turgeon, Larmer, Ronning, Coffey, Emerson, Carson, Juneau I'd say Juneau and Carson(despite his weight) are a little better, though.
