  1. Just a head up regarding not accumulating stats, if a player is in the ice for :01 or more it will show up in game stats and team season stats
  2. I don't think people were aware you were pumping in extra goals against the CPU. I know I wasn't. But cmon you can't possibly think that would be ok in a stat league.
  3. Loooooool that golf game looks sweet
  4. Tru hasn't 'fit in' with the people who post often here for these reasons: 1) he doesn't form any relationships through AIM conversations 2) he doesn't play online games or league which 99% of us posting here do 3) our only interactions with him are through his '94 flow' work, which not many of us gens guys do not play, and when he feels the need to chime in on a thread. When he does chime in his posts lack a positive vibe. I've seen an effort recently but it's pretty obvious it doesn't come natural to him since it's only done for a post or three then right back to passive aggressive posting. This is a community, I think, where people play a game they love with each other, shoot the s**t, and occasionally even form friendships beyond 'onlag' as Tru passively aggressively calls it. Hell we even get together I person to play when possible. Sure plabax somewhat fits in the same category but he takes time to share his knowledge on the game, initiate some good debates, albeit annoying sometimes . Plus he's one of the best online players that has been here.
  5. In a league where many put value in stats, I can see both sides of this. BUT IMO you should never pump in goals against the CPU and then upload the game. These situations where you desynch late happen infrequently enough that you should just save state and log it there: 6-1 Pumping in goals against the CPU just destroys the integrity of stats. You should know better than that FPB.
  6. I've never been the best at anything until now. Well if you're the worst ever doesn't that make you the best at being the worst? I shall wear this badge with honor Tru
  7. Excellent thoughts Tru. While I don't agree with all of it, I'll be the first to say I'm willing to move on also. We can all debate till the end of time our own interpretations of intent, but from this point forward I'll look at your posts through a different lense. You're a different kind of dude than most of us so it's easy for your posts to stick out. Anyway, I apologize for the secondary warning last week, it was inappropriate and immature.
  8. Hey fellas just getting over burnout syndrome after 4,057 Exis last week. Be on tomorrow night and Sunday
  9. In order here's what I think separates A&B players Defense - limiting shots, limiting uncontested 1 on 1 with the goalie consistently Goaltending - knowing when to grab control, not overreacting, reading the play and where the shot will likely come from. Offense - having a diverse offense, able to adjust when facing a trapping coach to and aggressive psycho checking coach When I play a B level player I tend to know I can get away with aggressive checking and more 1 on 1 offense. When I face top A players in general I know I need to pass more, move the puck and make smart outlet passes when exiting the zone. Zone exits is another key component to work on if you're a B level player. An aggressive A coach can hem you in and create quick turnovers and goals, that's when things can go south in a hurry. Try to be less predictable in your zone exits. Take the easy play, short passes to be safe.
  10. if you play sound defense in front of the net and limit break aways you effectively neutralize pass shots. Raph and to a lesser extent Plabax are very good at defending the front of the net. As one of the more frequent pass shooters I love playing guys who allow me to get to the net and unleash the shots.

  12. Unfortunately I need to bail out on VHL2. It's a fun league but significantly different than GDL. I found it impacted my overall game for GDL too. I mentioned this as a possibility over the weekend Thanks for the opportunity Skip, whoever takes over will have a top notch squad!
