Alright, and after everything gets sorted out regarding A and B leagues, and you find that there's a team you'd rather have that becomes available, you'll be allowed to switch.

Even though we don't even have a real timetable for when this league's gonna start, people are already picking teams (yeah, I started it, I know), so we'll just get that out of the way now. It's much more casual than classic because, quite honestly, the team means very little in this ROM. The difference between the best and worst team in the '11 rom was like 10, and last season most people just chose their favorite teams. IF YOU'D LIKE TO KEEP YOUR TEAM FROM LAST SEASON, YOU HAVE THE FIRST RIGHTS TO THEM. This post will be updated as the info comes in, no hurry. For new players: Here are the teams that we know for sure are available (again, regularly updated): Calgary, Carolina, Colorado, Columbus, Edmonton, Florida, Nashville, NY Islanders, Ottawa, Phoenix, St. Louis, Toronto, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay. You can either choose one of those teams (first come, first served) or see if another comes available. For returning players: Just let me know first of all if you'd like to play in the league again, then if you'd like to keep your team from last season, or if you'd like to take another. We will likely do A and B leagues sepearate, which would also open up the opportunity to get the team you'd like. We'll sort that out as more info comes in. Thanks all.

I'm a believer that part of the advantage of getting a high seed should be that you get an "easier" path to the finals. I understand the point about playoffs being dragged on, but to me, I think that the reseeding should happen. Make the regular season success or lack of success worth something. Just my 2 cents, I'm not in A so I didn't vote, however.

B's an awesome league this year. This is a 1 vs. 8 matchup! Good stuff guys.

I'm not involved, so for some unbiased predictions: I like Chicago over Winnipeg in 6, dan's gonna give him a battle, but pearate will take care of him behind Belfour. Calgary over Detroit in 7, very even coaches, Theo Fleury's a force, eggink's self-loathing about how poorly he finished the season will go away after he makes a name for himself by winning this series. I'll take Toronto over Buffalo in 5, the savvy veteran with the flyweight Gilmour is trouble for anyone, and then I'm going to take Tampa in 7 over Quebec, Bradley smash. So in round 2, that sets up Chicago vs Tampa Bay and Calgary vs Toronto. Both would go 7, I'll make predictions on the winner when we get to that point though :-).

Danlizhot's in, congrats. My man Ranford failed me in a win-and-in game. Sicarius played great though. So it's up to Dan to beat the odds now
