the real question is who will be the next person to b***h about this? it's all pertinent bitching, of course.... although we have thrown around several realistic solutions, next year D is going to need a playoff bracket page prepared in advanced as well as a clearly defined time table for series to be done. If he doesn't have time, then someone with some sweet skillz is going to have to step up and work on this. I don't have the knowledge to work on crazy webpage / spreadsheet editing right now, but I'm going back to school to get a masters in comp sci in the fall... so maybe soon. there is no need to blame anyone right now; we have had a really nice setup for the regular season, and then the playoffs are like anarachy.

Hokkee is an amazing creature. I'm not sure I agree with having everyone be online for a designated period. There most certainly will be conflicts; NHL94 should revolve around other activities, not the other way around. However, the 1 week deadline which has been bounced around forever, yet never acted upon, would definately be a step in the right directly. soooooo, now you just need the big man to put his foot down and add some finality to it, otherwise no one acts upon it.

a) there is one thing cheesier than a "cheese" goal. it's posting in several different topics flaming a player. b ) every goal is legitamit in nhl94. c) every goal can be defended. learn manual goalie. play solid defence in the lanes. gr18 hits it on the nose here; no one respects the crease-cutting goal, but we all respect the fact that it should be a goal. If you get scored on by it, you take responsibility. In the man-universe, we call it maning up. You probably didn't catch it on yesterday's episode of The View though, stan.

D's ruling was fair. There is a freakish urgency for some reason to finish this series when 2 other series haven't be played yet. Although I will agree ALL series should've been done at this point, I feel it's not a positive thing to be taking your aggression out on the commissioner of this league. If Mike doesn't play; he's out. If he does, he has already painted his reputation and I don't think there will be any reason for him to be invited back next year, as long as D agrees with all of the current rantings about Mike. Prior to the playoffs, there was talk about strict playoff deadlines. This was not taken care of during the 1st round, and we are now seeing the backlash. Let's make sure Round 2 has deadlines; If 2 guys mutually agree they cannot set up a date within a time schedule, then they can either contact D, or they can both post here. Does this sound fair to everyone?

although a week isn't really that much time, I agree with hokkee and his crazy algebra that says playoffs will take 2 months to finish. That's the same time frame as the regular season, yet it's like 25% the # of games (0% for me!). I think we can all agree that we are happy when we are playing nhl94, so strict time deadlines on playoff series seem like a pretty solid idea.

season length seemed fine. # of coaches were ok. playoff deadlines = your issue here. discuss.
