I kind of like that it's hard to make the playoffs. It was pretty stupid that the North Stars made the finals in '91 when they had a season PCT of only .425. It makes the season irrelevant. Although 16/28 isn't so bad...

If they moved to Southern Ontario does that mean division restructuring? Toronto moves back to the Norris Central division? I support a team in Hamilton only if they stop playing "who let the dogs out" after every goal at Copp's. Kitchener, Waterloo, and Guelph are embarassingly small for a major league sports team, and if they move there they should call them the Ontario _______s. Also judging by my drive down the 401 on Monday, the area smells like manure come playoff time. Or better yet, just move them back to Winnipeg so this broad can resume singing the anthems:

From what I saw in the World Juniors the only way Tavares scored was by parking himself on the left side of the post and slamming home 3 foot shots. Darcy Tucker scored 20+ goals in the season after the lockout doing that on the powerplay, and people caught on. So I can see Chara and co. shutting him down in the east. That being said, many big power forwards have made a career out of that. We'll see if he does better than Stamkos, who is currently representing my high school poorly (Although he's tearing it up in the World's right now...as if that matters)

Agreed. Mellanby has to be the shittiest starter in the game. Worst part about him is that he's on two teams. What a duster. Anyway, before I joined this place the only way I could entertain myself playing '94 was picking random teams and seeing how high I could run up the score without using dekes (and a punch of other stupid restrictions I won't go into.) Seeing as Anaheim holds the dishonour of having surrendered the most goals in a game (thanks player cards!), they have to be the saddest group of plugs in the game. Although the lifetime achievement award for suckage goes to the Senators, who are brutal in all the classic games...and because they are the Senators.

I did this for the New York vs. New Jersey series using NHLPA '93 fifteen years ago. The Rangers ended up winning in 7 games on the Genesis, and we all know how that series turned out in real life. In conclusion, your simulation will most likely completely predict the playoff results. Do you really want to spoil it for everyone?
