why are these good players dropping like flies? Although I've never played Ice Storm, from what I remember way back in the day, unless I'm wrong, he was one of the best along with that guy Sebe- he beat me all the time. I remember another guy called eric anthony, I think I remember him being good too. Along with backhandfloater. I use to think I was the best in the State of Illinois until I played that cat. So then I was #2 until I played dcicon and he put me in my place. Now, I'm #3. But I like my revenge on a dish served cold dcicon, I haven't forgot. I want my #2 back.

Thanks Chaos and Halifax and whoever else responded. Couple other things I think might help for next years league are: 1) having the coach names be the same or similar or somehow linked to their NHL '94 profile. This would help in scheduling games by sending PM'S. Believe it or not, I've tried and couldn't find two people. 2) Along with that, can you also make coaches post their age, not their entire birthday just their age. This would help in identifying the Generation Y'ers (the entitlement generation). You know, the ones who lost people skills being surrounded by text messaging, aim, all this other technology crap that allows them to hide and distance themselves from people or their problems instead of being a man and facing it. The same guys who were never taught common courtesy or how to treat people without being called "DRAMATIC" as in my case for trying to get a hold of a guy like 9 times! You know, the guys who can't write: "Hey bud SORRY, just logged onto aim and saw your message, I'm writing you back, i'll be avail ____" "hey bud, not today but maybe tomorrow" "sorry man, gotta go, but hit me back sometime."

post this in 'schedule a game' next time hand job so people can see, not that it matters if they're not responding. I've also been having trouble getting a hold of certain people and frankly, I don't give a fluck anymore. To the people I've played, thanks. To the assholes I've messaged about a dozen times without one f**king reply, thanks but no thanks. It's really not that hard. The best is when you finally catch them online, send them an IM and "poof"! offline they go. No reply! Hey isn't that a great Beatles song? I've also tried PM'ing people but can't find them on the forum due to having different coach names or whatever from the online league. And that's if they even log on to read it. I'm not saying they're not playing their games on time but it is frustrating when they don't acknowledge you.

Man,and I thought going to Canada was bad. Coming home was bad too now that I think of it. They are just doing their jobs but some of them like the power trip. I've heard it is, but I think it's just too far west, even for some Canadiens. I think we missed out on the opportunity of having it in Vancouver while the Olympics were here. I just got done watching a good video I had recorded about the Cup's travels to Europe. Unfortunately, I can't find the whole video narrated by Pat Foley, the Blackhawks announcer. I only could find bits and pieces of it. But, if you guys can do some digging, it's definitely worth watching. Some of you guys might enjoy the segment with Huet bringing the Cup to the Eiffel Tower. Well, I think I noticed something. I have Kid Sugoi of Pitts saved in my AIM as "elementallyraw" and have contacted him through that before. I haven't been able to reach him for a couple weeks now and noticed his profile now says "eiementallyraw". The "i" sure looks like an "l" at first glance. No wonder I can't get a hold of him. Typo at first or something more sinister?

I also request Tampa. I like playing with them but have no idea how to edit the lines with that team besides leaving Bradley in.

I have read the rules, but you're right, I should've re read them. Aside from that, I still would've posted my reply since I feel maybe it can help and give you guys some ideas. But then this sentence is throwing me off still and I think contradicts the rules. This is what is stuck in my head: "Those of you who have not played a confirmed game will remain on the Waiting List, but can be used as replacement coaches. Replacement coaches are needed when a current coach fails to make 2 checkpoints." Maybe that sentence should be revised? To me, it's like when you go to Home Depot and purchase an item that they raised in price but left the older lower price still on display. The store has to give it to you for that lower price because that is what's advertised. In this case, I don't know if a coach has a legitimate argument of losing his team after missing 1 checkpoint when that sentence is published. Hey, I'm just trying to help out here, maybe I caught it and nobody noticed it here?

I have a little beef about how this is being run. By beef I mean I actually just have a suggestion because believe me, I wouldn't be able to run this ship any better. Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the guidelines, you would have to miss 2 checkpoints to forfeit your team. That's about 2 weeks right? So, if a player plays 6 games ahead of time right out of the box, he technically made his 1st checkpoint and a part of the second checkpoint. Now, he would have to miss the rest of that checkpoint plus another to equal 2 checkpoints dragging this into 3 WEEKS! Theoretically, it's possible to not here a peep from a coach for 3 weeks. You don't don't if he's interested anymore, something happened, his computer broke or what. But now the rest of the league is stalled because of one or more coaches. Now, you find another coach to replace him, say a similar thing happens, this could go into a month or more! No, wonder you guys don't finish this stuff on time. I mean, I'm no regular here like the rest, but from what I have been reading, there seems to be a problem with people finishing there games. We all have lives, things come up, but the longer things drag out, it's inevitable that it will be harder to finish the league. I'm fine with the two checkpoints. But I think if a coach misses one checkpoint and you don't hear from him about it by the following day of the deadline he forfeits his team. Halifax or Chaos or whoever runs this league ain't your mom. For example, if a deadline is say March 28th and you don't make all your 5 games be then, if the league doesn't hear from you by March 29th acknowledging your tardiness- it's over. But if you do check in, you have another week extension. I don't think that too unreasonable. Maybe you guys already tried this? IDK. This would speed things up. Otherwise, we're left to ponder what's going on with certain players. I'm not trying to single anybody out, it's not my point. I'm trying to improve this league with my opinions. I don't think 5 games is that difficult to play in a week. That's like 15 minutes a week. It's 2011. There are computers everywhere. If you're computer is broke at home, I'm sure you can find another one to log in and post a message about your problem- giving everyone a heads up.

So I got done playing my friend and we had a penalty filled 1st period, both of us, box filled to the brim with 3 guys aside. Time expired on all penalties and we were back to playing 5 on 5 with a tied score 2-2 going into the second. In the opening seconds of the second period, my friend got a penalty and when the game went to the penalty screen, it showed 3 guys sitting on the bench for both teams! I was like WTF!? I thought all the penalties were over. Then I checked the scoreboard before his penalized player got to the box and sure enough, no penalties or their times were listed! It was blank. Then the player got to the box, hopped over the boards and disappeared amongst his teammates (which always happens when 4 total guys get penalized) and the penalty showed with 2:00 time. The game switched back to the play and I was thinking, o.k. maybe I'm seeing things and I'll see the penalty time in the lower corner read 3:xx or something, but no, it showed 2:00. I paused the f'in game to see the penalty box screen and only his guy was in the box! Guys, I don't do drugs and I wasn't drinking. Please, tell me somebody else had this happen to them. I've logged hundreds of games myself in my life and still haven't encountered some of those bugs listed on the main page. But when I didn't see this one listed, I wasn't going to post this at first. It's like living in Vancouver and seeing Bigfoot, do you tell anybody and make people think you're crazy? I always said I would, now, I don't think I'd tell anybody. And this is just a game. I mean, I'm in disbelief, I understand what those eye witnesses are thinking when they start second guessing what they saw and did they actually see that or are they going crazy? Maybe somebody who's good at editing the game can chime in and tell me if this bug is possible? When you guys edit the game and see all those codes, are also able to see the "bug" glitches?

Can I confirm mi amigo? I'd rather not though, I mean when we play each other it's fine (maybe because we're both from Chicago?) but I don't want to be held responsible if there's major lag in between States or Countries. I'd rather have someone else confirm him. Also, how can you start confirming people? Do you need a certain number of posts or something? I'm a 2nd liner now.
