I'm suprised this discussion died so quickly. I think this is relevant as the Nostalgia league is coming up and I've yet to play in a league game so I'm worried about how desperate people will play when it comes down to it. Keep it clean guys.

First of all, Evan well done. You beat me (and probably many others) to the punch in creating this very fine website. Its very clean and well organized (with the possible exception of online how-to's). Years ago I searched the internet for a website with this very name and came up with nothing. I tried to grab the domain name but it was not to be, someone had taken it but there was still no site. Years later I tried again and 'Voila'!, it was as if I had travelled to the future and saw my very own labour had paid off. So again, I'm very proud of you for making this all happen and for it to be way better than I could of managed. So now an interesting point has come to mind. As the time honoured tradition of SNES vs. Genesis battles on one cant help but wonder: is my preferred system under represented? A Genesis player could hardly complain there isn't enough players to go around, enough variously edited roms to use and most noticeably it is the system of choice of the adminsitrator. As a SNES player I feel lucky that this site is here, excited that there are so many people playing the game and thrilled that it can be edited and played online (though right now only one on one). But still something is missing. I feel under represented and want there to be a SNES Equal to Evan. Somebody from this site. Not me, but someone just as passionate for it. I can think of a few names but I'll leave that up for debate. Basically this person should keep a biased eye on SNES related problems such as online play and quite frankly getting a bloody move on with multiple online play. They should pretty much be like Trevor Linden is to the players within the NHLPA. LINDEN! Again Evan great site but it seems to me that the Genesis gets all the attention in the world and I would love for there to be a strong SNES presence at the top.

Yeah but think about pickup hockey, your lucky to get line changes, but its not cool to hang around the opposition net. We're trying to keep things fun and fair here. Aren't we?

Too bad the Fast Forward function doesn't work online. If someone could get that working problem solved! But otherwise of course offsides should be on. Its a natural part of the game, even in pickup hockey if someone calls for offside you respect his call. Whats cool about 94 is that sometimes the ref makes the wrong call (though far less often than in the NHL) when its close. Leave offsides on.

Once again, where is all the help? Evan can you shed some light on this? (hopefully this gets answered with a generic 'go to the how-to section to read the biast lets-give-them-more-info-on-the-genesis-version-because-the-passing-sucks self-help board')

I'm looking forward to playing online. 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 is going to be great once someone figures out how to do it. All 4 or 6 guys on all different computers.

Has anyone here got a Playstation 3? If so have you played 94 on its computer? I'm curious if you can play using the PS3 bluetooth controller. (Not that I'd prefer it over the good ol' SNES controller...)

If you pass it into the net it doesn't count as a shot. Jeff and I have had games where we'd have about 5 or 6 more goals than shots.

My God here we go again with the graphics again. I'm sorry but shut the F*** up about them already. I've said it before but I guess it needs repeating: Genesis players only seem to care about graphics and looks: "I love the options and the graphics on the SNES... "from don something. ENOUGH with the graphics. I'm convinced genesis players care more about the look, the extra features and bl bla bla crap than the game itself. SNES players are above that and play because the GAME is good. The play control, the amazing passing ability(severly lacking in the genesis by the way) and of course, the quick goalie control. How can you put up with waiting a whole second waiting to pick the goalie? By then its too late! 94!!!!!

Of course, offsides MUST be on. Its way too cheap to have them off. If the computer goes offside to often you're playing the wrong system 94(SNES, naturally)

Why can I only add an attachment one in like every 100 tries? Evan help me out here! 94

Why with all the busy changes? Like the menu screen. While all these changes were being made all they needed to do was drop pass, block pass, fake shot and such like Jeff says. The player portraits could look better but so many unneeded changes!!

My opinion is below the video itself. I liked that flip pass backhanded goal near the beginning. Hit the puck out of the air.

Has this lost interest or is it just a sore point? Do we even really need a special version of 94? Is it because you all want to use the new crappy PS2 contollers or something? Or is it because we are not smart enough as hackers to change the gameplay for ourselves? If we could change it enough, would it suffice? 94?
