  1. I am not ignorant, but it is clear that you are, because you declare that relevance is based on ability to play online a game that was designed for consoles. I would play with y'all, but I use a borrowed Macintosh which is not really compatible. if you want to swing through my neighborhood, though, I will gladly show you that I have more than enough skill to talk and "walk." nothing I say makes any sense?! this coming from a guy who has trouble spelling and punctuating in his diatribe of crybabyisms. every post I have made makes plenty of sense, but you just don't want to accept my messages; it's easier for you to insult and cry and rant and complain. good luck with that. still not sure why online play makes somebody worthwhile. Ninety Flo' for life.
  2. I don't have an AIM (I have an aim... of beating you in SNES '94 in person on the console -- ho-o, awful pun!), but I have a gmail account and there's a chat feature on that. titlesong [AT] gmail [DOT] com if you want to try that. man up and stop taking this so seriously. I feel like everybody here is too uptight. this is EXACTLY the place I should be able to trash talk (that is a big part of NinetyFlo', so I'm not sure how y'all do it in online games) and discuss anything about '94. I have set up an in-person game with a local dude (or three) in the next few weeks, so if y'all overreactors decide to punish me for being me, leave me access to the PMs here so I don't lose contact with the dude(s). ooh, I can't wait to play somebody new. it's been too long. that's what SHE said.
  3. I have mad respect for the site and the game. that's why I'm here so often; I like to discuss the game and this is a great place to do that. I wouldn't call what anybody does here abuse. unless there is hacking going on that we don't see, nobody is abusing anything here. I think that when I say you must have a controller in your rectum, it is critical commentary on your disposition and your approach to interaction with the hated one and such banter should be well within the realm of discourse and humor here. if it isn't, that is sad. all love. Rangers versus Vancouver, subbing in Kovalev or Turcotte for Gartner or whoever is off and Lowe for Leetch. go!
  4. I just realized that the post he quoted and responded to MAKES NO MENTION of the SNES/Genesis debate, nor even anything about either system in particular. people read into what I type what they want to see. I am active on a few other message boards and there is no way the immature reading comprehension and high agitation factor of the posters would fly in those forums. overreacting to conversation and playful insults would get you laughed at, but here I'm the one on the edge of banishment. ha! I think it's because I don't play online, so I'm not in the clique that runs this place. oh, well. I still love the game. second only to (or tied with) Legend Of Zelda.
  5. I sure wish I could. y'all would have to leave me alone about my posts after I schooled you in NinetyFlo'.
  6. the differences between the versions are the most interesting topic of discussion for NHL94, so get over yourself. always wear pants while barbecuing. plenty of things that taste good won't kill you; go vegan.
  7. I posted this question in the wrong thread and somebody cried about it, so I'm starting a new topic about it. is it "normal?"
  8. sorry, I was looking for a topic that related to glitches and I missed the SNES only aspect of this thread. sorry. sorry. sorry. this has nothing to do with my bias toward the versions, it is a real question about occurrences I noticed today. everybody is so uptight here. take the cartridge out of your ass. damn.
  9. post removed due to overreaction. new topic started to address my question.
  10. good point, Vinnie. lately I've been trying to score ANY slapshots that aren't cutacrosses. really tough on SNES. Genesis lets you have a lot of slapshots, SNES doesn't allow them very often. sometimes if it deflects off the goaltender and in.
  11. yeah, yeah, yeah. I like the game and I post here. I try to add my two or three cents when I fell like it is called for. deleting my posts is childish and makes a fight were there need not be one.
  12. now that it seems like that fool is done deleting all of my posts, I'll reiterate that picking light players isn't good advice for SNES players, as the SNES version isn't flawed when it comes to weight and corresponding abilities of players like the Genesis version is. this experience (of having my helpful and defensive posts deleted by a waste of life) confirms to me my opinion that small-membership boards like this one don't need multiple moderators; additional ones love their power and exercise it unnecessarily in order to flaunt their status. good for you, buddy. now go stroke yourself while repeating "video game message board moderator."
  13. whaa! I can't handle opinions that don't resemble mine! whaa! I have to delete anything I don't agree with! whaa! off to cry...
  14. what are you crying about, now? are you claiming others shouldn't be able to do what you do (Iruleat94likewow) and posting about it in the wrong section? classy.
  15. and if you get called for hooking or holding, it's easier to score shorthanded, anyway.
  16. the original poster said he no longer uses the stand up button. I use it all the time, even if I'm going to switch to another player. if the dude is down, pick him up; he will hold/hook any opponent within reach. you can just wait 'til he's up and switch to the guy you wanted a split second later. I don't know if I'm giving away a secret; doesn't everybody else do this?
  17. it's not that I'm not a fan, it's that I Internet on a borrowed Mac. even if you showed me how to make it work easy like, I still don't have a Mac-compatible controller.
  18. we've yet to play, but I suspect we will. is there anybody else who would like to be included in our battles?
  19. it's 100+ goals in the TWENTY-minute periods, not ten.
  20. Allston, SNES only, damned good. willing to PM you my phone number.
  21. GAME GENIE CODES Below are some Game Genie Codes I wrote that you might want to try out if you're playing NHL '94 on the SNES. My personal recommendation is the Drunken Pianist. 22. I like playing an entire playoff season shooting ONLY with Greggy Smyth. that's the only way to make the game challenging, short of having a "must pass X times before shooting" rule, or something of the sort. Greg is THE.
  23. I agree with this whole post and I think everybody here should read it all again. if you don't follow these hints, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. I also believe in the power of Darren Turcotte.
  24. don't come down on Turcotte; he is often my best player. he makes a great center.
