@Sean Oh man, that sounds like a great idea! I'd love to see some of the more recent teams retro-ed to 1994. Way beyond the sort of thing I was thinking of, but I like it very much. I'm really only looking to do a gameplay mod. I could hypothetically make it restrictively accurate to '94, but I'm increasingly thinking that I should go about 80% of the way there, then get it out there as early as I can to collect feedback. If I ask these hypothetical questions, I'm going to get feedback from the designers and modders like you an VonOz, but a lot of average users aren't as sure as to what they like (and dislike) until they play it.

Dropping here since it’s closest thread - would it be feasible to make it so a road team’s goal song plays when they score in place of the boo?

It’s a heavier lift than what you’re proposing from a hacking standpoint and also somewhat covered by JKline/VO’s hack, but for a “classic” version I’ve always thought something with 1994 branding for all of the teams where it is possible would be cool. Just to double down on the throwback nature.

Just to be clear -- though not posted, Hershey, Rockford and Milwaukee were previously done by me for other leagues: I'm keeping the OP updated as to what teams are left so we are not accidentally duplicating efforts

Well now, I was looking at the version of their logo that was just the pig head, but I will say that the detail on the text looks really good here even with the limited resolution.

Here's an alternative Admirals logo I found and used because the text was too much. I think it looks great And the ice logo (not asking for those here) was the name:

I CAN'T BELIVE I MISSED THESE POSTS! I feel so dumb With regards to the text in logos, I agree, I have removed the text myself if I couldn't find a logo without text. Sometimes it's not so bad, like the Ice Hogs I say go for whatever you feel looks good!

These are looking great even when I knocked off a color:

I messed up - the first color is transparent, so also unusable. So it's really 9 colors plus black/white. My bad!

Btw, NHL 2001 was the game I used as an example. NHL 2002 has the exact same crash.

1) If you know me, you'll know that the solution is never this easy. 2a) The command shown is incomplete. 2b) The troubleshooter will always tell me that the game isn't supported. 2c) NHL 2001 wants me to insert the game into a nonexistent drive and run it from there, and if I cancel, see 2b). 3) That worked once... then when I ran the game again, the issue came right back. 4) Windows opens Edge instead, because of IE being retired. 5) I only have one computer with Win10 on it, and even if I did have another one, Windows would prevent me from replacing the dll.
