  2. From my notes when I hacked 95, I have Offset: 0A06BA offsets to TEAM OVERALL Ratings. Each byte represents the overall rating Check and see if that helps. Again, this is me blowing the dust off my notes, I haven't checked, but this sounds right. lol. EDIT: CONFIRMED, this is the offset to the team ratings. So the value at 0A06BA is 000A 06DC. That's the pointer to the team overall offset. Starting at 000A 06DC, the team overall values are in hex. It starts with 3A 4D, which is 58 and 77 (Anaheim and Boston's rating, continuing for all the teams...)

  3. My buddy had the original NHL Hockey for the PC, we used to play it all the time. We'd play with the EA Sports branded Gravis GamePad Pro controllers.I have an original copy of it with floppy disks, see attached. I now work on a Mac and use a program called Boxer, which is an MS-DOS game emulation based on DOSBox...so I can just download DOS games and play them on my Mac. I just drag them onto the shelf within the user interface, it's pretty cool. See attached. It's easier and more convenient than running the games through Dos Box. I have NHL Hockey and NHL Hockey 95, and play with a Logitech USB controller. BTW, there were a few changes made between the original NHL Hockey and NHL Hockey 95, namely: 1 - the graphic interface changed from animated drawings to real photos of studio & reporter photos, as well as in-arena shots. See attached. 2 - the overall presentation was improved to give it a much more TV presentation feel to it. 3 - the in-game sounds and stoppage in play arena music was a bit different 4 - the "EA Sports...it's in the game" was used at the start of the game 5 - the original NHL Hockey had the SNES intro screen, while the NHL Hockey 95 had a completely different intro screen, comparable to NHL 94 for the Sega CD 6 - both games had the same game intro music, but when you'd exit NHL Hockey '95, you'd get the classic NHL 94 music - plus you'd get these awesome screens that would shuffle through hockey cards featuring pictures of all of the game's producers, programmers, artists, testers. etc. 7 - NHL Hockey '95 was produced for the PC by Pioneer Productions 8 - the player ratings were provided by John Rosasco (PR Dept) and Neil Smith (GM) If you have a chance to play NHL Hockey '95, do it...it's awesome. 4. Today is the day I have been waiting for since last Summer. The All-Time Greatest Players ROM is finally being released! Some notes about the ROM: 28-team ROM replacing Campbell and Wales All-Star teams with Original Six and Expansion All-Time All-Star teams. I used the 70s Orange/White/Black All-Star jerseys for the Original Six and the 95-96(Purple/Black and Teal/white) All-Star jerseys for the Expansion jerseys. Used different team/same franchise jerseys including DAL/MIN, QUE/COL, HFD/CAR, WPG/PHX Home jerseys are light jerseys, regardless if it was ever their home or away jersey Included some fan favorites over others(i.e. Terry O'Reilly, Bob Probert, Wendel Clark) but did my best with including HOFs. It was really tough for the Original Six teams for sure. Some players were great but didn't make the cut due to others with more Cups, All-Star votes, stats leaders, and/or HOF. Some players appear on multiple teams but the attributes are different depending on the team(i.e. Gretzky better on EDM than LA). Players in general would need to have played at least 3+ seasons with the team to be included. Most players have Endurance of 3. If anyone uses this ROM for line changes let me know. I'll need to edit the Endurance for everyone and that will change their Overall score. I didn't want everyone to have inflated Overall due to Endurance. I tried to keep some famous lines together which will reflect if line changes are on. Otherwise I just made the best available line based on overall. Players have abbreviated first name with their full last name(i.e W Gretzky). I have not updated player cards yet but might do so in the future. I hope to 'port' this to Gens once I get a handle on NOSE. Trimmed down ANH and FLA to 18 players so I didn't have to abbreviate any names. This allows me to continue to use statto's ROM editor for future updates. 5. Not sure how to change logos on ice or menus for teams that relocated or updated their logos. https://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/16251-center-ice-logos-and-menu-logos-swapping-and-editing/ Swapping logos in the first post, disabling all logos in the last post. There is also some info about editing colors for the menu logos. Not perfect but at least something. Btw, in the Super Nintendo Hacking subforum theres plenty of interesting stuff, everybody making new roms should check the threads out.
