  2. All trades good so far. Any trade that is 1 player for 2 players (like the Calgary & Buffalo deal) will count as a "2-player deal" on both sides for the count on trade limits.
  3. Toronto signs FA Dino Ciccarelli
  4. Post final line-ups from the Trade Deadline and Free Agency Draft changes here. Last chance to edit your team will be Sunday, 4.6.14.
  5. no deadlines really - just don't go MIA on us, check the draft thread a couple times a day like any other lg and try to keep things moving at a reasonable pace. we only have 24 total draft picks which equates to 1 round of the GDL draft - although we have over a week dedicated to free agency and trading no reason this can't be completed by the end of the weekend or early into next week.
  6. Free Agent Draft is now open, even with draft penalties Minpind has a better GF/GA differential (split 2-2 in first half of season). Witt & Brutus can still upload their last two without forfeit during the draft. Witt and the NY Rangers get to make the first #1 overall pick in GMC History. Who will it be? Yzerman? Ciccerelli? Klima? Or will he try to trade his 1.1 pick for Dmitry Kvartlanov? Stay tuned. Draft on!
  7. That time is here for the Free Agency Draft, thanks everyone for participating and keeping things fun & competitive so far. It's been a lot of fun and I hope the last leg of the season add some more enthusiasm and excitement. We will draft according to the following orders. Visit the googlespread sheet for available Free Agents, players highlighted in red are already on a team. Also, do not forget you need to engage in at least one trade deal with a maximum of five. Click here to negotiate trades and click here to post official deals after they've been negotiated. When the draft is completed, everyone will have until 7PM EST on 4.6.14 to make final trades. At that point, all changes will be added to the rom. The new rom will be posted and GMC league play will continue 4.7.14. 8. lol reading these articles are awesome - thanks for sharing.
  9. looks amazing, love the ducks X year anniversary center ice logo and EA sports load screen. great work.
  10. you have until 3.26 when jack&jose returns to finish schedules before DNP's for the first part of the season are assigned (no one wants this to happen) use this weekend to schedule games. late night crowd guys(witt&min), you may have to log in before Nick at Nite starts to catch some of your opponents. momentum and enthusiasm has been good, don't want to let DNPs be a spoiling factor. post availability
  11. I support the bring back JESUS movement. NHL91.com lg resurrection !!
  12. Totally true, the time to catch up is running thin. Some guys that have been patiently waiting on their last opponents of the first leg of the season may not be available this last week, witt and min please just post letting these guys know when you can be available.
  13. The trade deadline intermission is coming up in 10 days, thus trading is now open. All trades will go into effect only after the trade deadline period, each coach is required to trade at least 1 player with a maximum of 5 players by Sunday March, 30. BOS and NYR are still behind their chk pt 2 marks, minp and witt please post your availability for the coaches you need to play. The Free Agent Draft will start Friday March 21, with only 8 picks per round I'm guessing things should go quick. With the entire week dedicated to free agency and trading, I personally do not think we need deadlines for 24 picks - the draft should take no more than 2-4 days. If others feel deadlines are needed its something we can do, just speak up. Leave lists with others if you know you won't be around for your pick. Use the Trading Block & Negotiations thread to discuss trade deals, post only official trade deals here. Example trade post: Minpind sends Pat "thinks my tractors sexy" (pun credited to minpind) Falloon to the New York Rangers. Wittgenstein sends Doug "gone fishin'" Gilmour to the Boston Bruins. # of players Traded: BOS (1) BUF (3) CAL (2) CHI (3) NYR (2) STL (5) max'd TOR (2) VAN (2) Official Trades TOR sends J. Cullen, J. Macoun to VAN VAN sends C. Ronning, D. Lidster to TOR BUF sends D. Audette to CHI CHI sends B. Marchment to BUF BUF sends M. Modano to CAL CAL sends G. Suter, T. Yawney to BUF STL sends R. 14. Checkpoints League's been hustling right on point even with GDL and Blitz going on, awesome work by all members to keep up. There are only two coaches below the 20 GP mark coming up this week on 3/10, in less than two weeks we will be doing FA draft and trades; get those games in!! There will be another post this week about all the specifics on the Trade Deadline week. jer33 - 20 GP wittGENStein - 14 GP WTGA minpind - 18 GP WTGA probob38 - 28 GP kupuck19 - 26 GP LABS_66 - 20 GP Brutus.Khan - 26 GP JackandJose - 24 GP If you need to get games in with BOS and NYR but have a hard time catching them on AIM post here to coordinate a time with min and witt. Stats It is starting to get very close to the deadline, after a blazing hot finish to the first part of the season the Vancouver Canucks look like they have what it takes to retain first place in the league (11-1 in last 12). Bure has been on a tear throughout the league, scoring 15 goals in his last 8 games bolstering the Canucks into the intermission period. 15. And NHL94 not crackin the top 10 shocks the conscious. GamesRadar staff needs some help on this.
  16. I think he was excessively bashing C-check button
  17. Very true, but the an owner and general manager that pay top dollar for players like John Tavares to be hurt playing for team Canada brings some controversy into the issue. If you're an athlete than can make millions by contracting with a professional organization, than that organization probably wants to protect their investment. Tavares is out for the season, and Garth Snow is pissed
  18. Fact: No matter who wins the gold tomorrow, Sweden still has hotter women.
  19. Good point fpb the European NHL players, in particular the ones that grew up playing in the Soviet Union & Eastern Europe, probably have a much different perspective on whether their professional or national team is more important. If NHL players were kept from the games would more Russians come home to the KHL and stack tm Russia again like in the days of the USSR? Possible. I disagree that people do not necessarily want to watch amatures, many people enjoy watching the CHL Memorial Cup or stories like the USA 1980 team. Just because they might be an amateur status doesn't quite mean they do not have elite skill sets and potential. I can agree USA and Canada wouldn't be at a "huge" disadvantage, but the skill level of some of these Euro leagues are definitely major steps ahead of the players Canada and the US would be using from the CHL, USHL and NCAA. I don't think many AHL or ECHL players would be considered with the great young talent both nations consistently produce. I'm sure the best US & Canadian players that do not yet have major professional careers would still be very competitive.
