  1. TubaHero wins, as he beats out dcicon to be #1 for registration!
  2. Well, looks like Ron Barr needs to dust off his tele-prompter, because...... Spring '10 Classic League Registration IS HERE!! Register HERE For those of you who have registered on the NHL94Online site before, then registration will be easy. You just need to choose "Yes" for the question "Have you registered for a league before?", type in your site user name and password (NOTE: This is different than your forum password and user name, unless you made it the same), and choose the league you will be joining and your team preferences (a total of 10). Then hit submit and you will be placed on the waiting list. It's that easy. For those of you who have not registered on the NHL94Online site before, then there is a little more info. to fill out. You need to choose "No" for the question "Have you registered for a league before?" and enter a user name and password (it's common to use the same user name as your forum name or AIM name). You will also be asked to fill out some more information about yourself (email, location, timezone, AIM Name, system preference). Then choose the league you will be joining and your team preferences (a total of 10). Then hit submit and you will be placed on the waiting list. You will then need to play a test game to make sure your connection is set up properly. This does not affect your place on the waiting list, but you cannot play in the league without playing the test game. Registration deadline will be April 12, 2010. At that point, we will assign teams to coaches and the schedules will be released. There are 4 league levels we are hoping to run this season: [GENS-A: This is for Advanced players. Genesis] [GENS-B: This is for Intermediate players. Genesis] [GENS-C: This is for Beginner/Intermediate players. Genesis] [sNES: All skills, SNES version] You can sign up for multiple league levels (i.e. GENS-A and SNES). All beginner players will be put in GENS-C (if they are going to play Genesis). Regardless of how good you think you are, there are guys way better than you out there. If you want a chance, stick to GENS-C. SNES will be a big melting pot of experience. Good luck! If there are any questions or problems, feel free to PM me or hit me up on AIM and leave a msg. 3. Welcome back. Later today, registration for the Classic 94-Spring 2010 season will be starting, so feel free to join.
  4. NHL ‘95 SNES, Sega Gen., Game Boy, Game Gear Big improvements here. For the first time, a complete season could be played, and players could be created, traded, signed, and released. Fortunately (or less so, depending on how you look at it) the AI goalie was often unable to block across-the-crease shots, yet a player-controlled goalie could deflect nearly everything. This version is widely considered the best NHL game of all time. WHAT WHAT??? Best NHL game of all time? Obviously this guy is mistaken and needs a beatdown to knock some sense into him.
  5. I would also like to note, of those 18 one goal losses, I had leads in a bunch of them!! I officially suck.
  6. Happy Birthday Evan!! Hope you're enjoying the nice weather out on LI!!
  7. Registration for this league will begin on March 29th. Details on how to register will be posted on the forums then.
  8. I can help out with keeping up on the guys too. When should we start registration? End of March would be good I would think.
  9. Last season was a big success, I don't see any reason why we wouldn't have another classic season.
  10. I thought I'd be able to get my games in this week, but the connection at the hotel I'm staying in sucks. I'll get the games in this weekend. Look at this:
  11. These games can be logged on the site. Please do. Thanks.
  12. Ugly Shot! From Downtown! I was just looking up yesterday to see if there were any NBA Jam online leagues. No luck!
  13. The only SNES league running right now is the WHA league. You can join the waiting list here.
  14. Score has been changed. Away teams, please double check the score before confirming and change if needed.
  15. Grayto isset up now, so games can be played and logged against him.
  16. Somewhere on the Hamachi website, it advises you to forward a port number above 40000, normally 45000. But this is just for Hamachi. ZSNES should be 7845
  17. The CPU speed on my laptop can be controlled to improve battery life, performance, and on-demand load. This is done through software that came installed (its an Asus EEE Pc with an Intel Atom CPU). Most CPUs have a fixed clock speed, but some can be controlled via software and changed on the fly. Apparently, ZSNES does not like this. So I set the condition to max performance (max CPU clock speed).
  18. I found out slowdown was not due to the network connection, buy my laptop's CPU speed control. It was set to adjust the CPU speed for demand. I read on the ZSNES forums that this causes problems with the timing in the program. All other emulators ran fine (including Snes9x). Set the CPU speed to constant and that fixed the problem. RedWing and I played a game with the slowdown and it felt like it took an hour.
  19. I was just telling my friend probably the most exciting reg. season game I've seen in a long time. They were playing like it was a Game 7. Theodore made some amazing saves near the end of the game.
  20. Phaneuf never really lived up to his hype in Calgary anyway. His salary was gigantic and was signed I think until 2013. His defensive play has been on the decline. Good move by the flames for getting rid of him. They got some good young players and some goal scorers out of the deal. The Flames defense has never really been their problem, they just can't score. Hopefully these new guys help bolster the Flames and add some depth, which is what really killed them last year in the playoffs with all the injuries.
  21. Idea 3 sounds good to me. Just for the hell of it, why not make the beginning of the first round open selection and the end of the first round protection? The mid-level and lower level players can pick any player in the first half of the round, and the better teams (like the ones that are the top 4 or 5 playoff seeds in both leagues) would choose a protection pick in the second half of the first round. This way the lower level coaches have a pick at the best guys and the higher level coaches can still protect a player. Then maybe flip-flop the second round where the lower level coaches pick protection in the beginning and the higher level coaches have an open pick at the end. Make any sense? Probably not.
