note: this is not a signup thread its just an interest thread... I was playing on the 1on1 rom today and I thought to myself... this could be a great idea for a league!... do you agree? If I get enough people interested I'll start a signup thread and we can start a league for it we could also just do a tourney as well:) thanx guys:)

I found an answer a few days back to both of your problems but I couldn't find the forum topic... luckely shaft found it so to stay with the big club in NHL 10 or 09 you must fufill your role that you choose before you start your career ( eg. power forward, dangler) for example you might chose power forward and have a 200 point season but still get sent down to the minors this is because the game feels that you are not fufilling your role of power forward which is forechecking and creating turnovers in the offensive zone instead the game feels you are getting away from your normal game that you are supposed to play thinking you are playing bad and sending you down to the minors of course no NHL team in real life would send down a 200 pt guy but since you are not fufilling your role you do infact get sent down the NHL EA creators are trying to be realistic with this but sometimes the result is the game being unrealistic also if you find that after your 4 game trial with the big club goes really well but you still get sent down to the minors follow the steps above and it also helps to put the players age to 22 instead of 19 because the game feels that a 22 year old is more mature and knows how to use his skills better

looking back at this and I saw that so far tuba's prediction has been an epic fail! Tavares has 15 goals 12 assists good for 27 points in 37 games! some of you perdicted that NHL defences would be able to stop his little 3 ft tap in's at the side of the net but he just seems like a brett hull kind of guy on the power play Hull used to fade away and everyone would forget about him but the he would jump in they would feed him a pass and it would be an easy goal my dad is a scout for the London knights so he has some inside information and he said that last year Tavares had nothing left in the tank after he played so well in the world juniors the knights wanted to sit him out for a few games but then Tavares wouldn't break the recored for most goals in a career which he eventually did break! so far... a stellar rookie season for Johnny T
