I don't mind drafting my team, just thought this was an interesting concept. If that is what you would prefer that is fine by me. Any chance we could get this moved into the "Active League" section of the forum though?

If freydey wants to draft a team I'll play the games. Our playing style (although he obviously is much, much better) is very similar... Just need a decent goalie

In terms of fairness to the lower seeds, being able to hand pick your playoff opponent might be the single worst idea I have ever seen. I had to reread this in order to actually comprehend that you have come up with this idea. Wow

It's funny how you can completely miss the point on things as you I imagine you hunt people down trying to play games instead of going to school or having a job. You mention this being your first league, although you started GDL prior to this Classic starting. If you are good enough for GDL I question how you would think you think you were destined for the C league. Makes no sense to me. As for which Classic league I belong in, the only reason I was placed in A last season was to fill the A roster. So not only was I on the fence about being a questionable A league placement, but I was once again given a team further down the list than everyone else. I made a point that if you are questioning a player being placed in A, it would only seem fair to give him his top choice so that he actually has a chance against the better players. This really didn't even matter because nobody will be beating Carse any time soon in A especially you and Raph. As for the running the score up issue... In the leagues that have player stats I can see the want to run up the score and beat someone 16-1. All your players get great stats and you show up in the league leaders. But in classic, If you beat me by 1 goal or by 15 goals it doesn't matter. You might want to learn something from the veteran players who know when to just play the game for fun instead of beating up on someone when the game is no longer in doubt. If I know I am better than someone and I am up by 5 goals I put it on cruise control and just let the game finish unlike you and Raph who seem to actually try harder to run up the score to get your precious stats. Call me crazy but I would rather lead the league in wins then goals scored... I really do think you and Raph need to take a step back and shut your mouth a little bit because as you like to call yourself a "rookie" but you talk like you have been here from the beginning. If you dum dums can't already see this, Robbie and I are saying the exact same thing although he is saying it a little more nicer than I am..... Learn some manners and grow up.....

Based on what has happened with a little bit of authority I would say his arrogance has drastically increased. I still believe that a personal grudge was the reason I was the only person not given my 1st team selection. And as for the ducking games comment, check out my last Blitz A season and let me know if that changes your thinking.

I believe the issue was that the group that created the leagues wanted to have each league have the same amount of players even if there were questions on who should be there. Needless to say next season put the A players in A and the B players in B. If one league has 14 and another has 10 nobody cares as long as everyone has a shot to win.

You don't need to win B to be placed in A. I would bet the majority of A players have never been in the B league. Also, if someone asked me to sign up for a non-draft league where I had a 5% chance of winning I would never sign up for that. Robbie is 100% correct in his statements. If you sent an IM to someone requesting to play 4 or 5 games you are essentially saying "Hey, can I kick your ass for about 30 minutes with one of the top teams in the league where you have next to no chance at not only winning, but keeping the game close." Why would anyone feel excited about wanting to play games. The games I have played against players other than Kabs and Plabox have been enjoyable games, but are moot because those two will be in the finals. You (TomKabs) need a reality check that other people would rather have a realistic chance at winning rather than watching someone run up the score and only goal in the game is to not get shut out. Plabox will atleast let up a little bit when the game is out of reach as opposed to you running up the score in a league that doesn't even keep player stats.

Keep your panties on, there are 5 other coaches with fewer games played than me....

Out of curiosity, looking at the Gens B standings as of right now only 2 teams would actually have points after the DNPs are factored in. What happens then? I know I will get beaten up for this, but with only 4 of 12 people playing 21 games or more it looks to be a conclusion by the remaining coaches that the league is down to a 2 team race with everyone else not even being close.....

I like these ideas too. Maybe this would be a good tournament idea as opposed to a full out league. I would surely join.
