I don't think Evan would ever ask anyone for money to play in his league. There are obviously guys interested in having some type of a money league/tournament but I'd be surprised if one ever got started.

ASE 1st round series complete. Halifax 5 ThePimpImp 4 OT Halifax 4 ThePimpImp 2 Pimp had some tough breaks in game one...a couple lucky bounces resulted in goals which then, in true all star fashion, Pimp used all three goalies in game one. Good series pimp...coulda went either way. I look forward to playing shaka or kamakazie if they ever decide to play. I guess same goes for schwartz with puckhead and pyl85.

Is it SNES? I'm moving to regina in june for a few months work and then to calgary to live in sept. I'd try make the trip for a tourney.

Well hopefully you don't decide to quit.....If you are using your computer mainly for video games like nhl94 perhaps you should try and sell it and get an older one. I just have an old p3 but it does the job....im sure you could find a good used one for cheap.

hey matt, I know I've said this in another topic but i'll mention it again. I just find the difference between that two is the manual goaltending. I just find that half second or so from holding the button down in Genesis to activate your goalie can make the difference from being making a save or being scored on. With SNES you only have to tap the button to activate the goalie. To me, that is the biggest difference between the two games and why I favor SNES over GENS. Also the 'defence control' is a nice tool as well for SNES(I'm not positive but I don't believe the genesis version has it?) btw....congrats on gens draft play off run...good luck next round.

well i guess i can only speak for myself....I don't care if someone beats me by ten goals..however when im up by a lot I pretty much stop trying to score more cause I don't enjoy hammering an oponent .

I think a mercy rule to be put in place is a reasonable request..they have one in the ball hockey league i play in....once a team gets up by 7 goals the game is called.

perhaps to add to your comments.... For SNES..If im not making a line change..I'll simply type'GL' to let him know im ready. I've made the mistake a couple times of hitting start before the other guy gets his line changes and I've asked if he wants me to re-start the game if I'm hosting. If he doesnt care then we keep going. It's fair enough to request a restart otherwise you might get stuck with Goulet for three solid minutes.... but then again...maybe you didnt want to change Goulet. which would then open another thread for another discussion altogether.

With SNES in'93..that seemed to be the only way you could score(before manual goalie)...but in '94, I try to use it sometimes....some guys I've played against will psych you with a cross crease and then spin or pause and go short side....sometimes you can defend by slammin em with the goalie or timing the right moment to make the save or using a d-man to knock em down. I really don't see how you could argue whether a goal should or should not count anyways. In your discussion...what was the reason that it should not be allowed?
