shaftman Posted November 17, 2009 Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 yeah, this trade isn't too well thought out.. because it's reallyGet: yzerman 6th round Give: 2nd round 4th round and throw away oates or fleury for nothing there's no way you can build a good team... yzerman is good, but he still needs other players to keep pressure off him. he always had another really good forward to work with (hull, ciccarelli, tikkanen(great checker and fast)). And btw, how did shtfman won the cup? He gave up a lot for Lemieux, worked heh? Roenick (a late first round guy) AND an early-mid 4th round pick for just a mid-late 2nd round pick? The trade doesn't even have a balanced number of players/picks. VAN will end up with 13 picks in the draft, and CHI only 11. This could be the biggest mistake in my BLITZ careerconfirm! Big steal as far as I can see... even without the 4th rounder. smozoma Posted November 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2009 this was a total disaster.. it's way too hard to predict how things will work, and there are super weak and super good teams being created all over. what's bugging me is that the main point of the way the protection draft works has been subverted. the weaker teams are supposed to be able to pick up best available players, but now the players are getting dumped for picks. how much did meats give up for yzerman when he could have had say hull or roenick for free... this is totally broken, and i don't want to make sense of these wacky trades. i have to just nix all trades. no trading before the draft. (actually, i just realized/remembered that when i first thought of pre-draft trading, it was supposed to only be players for players) also, i just lost my job, so I reeaally don't want to bother with this confusion. I expected to get things moving quickly when I started this trading, but that's not happening now. I'll just get the draft order done (need to find one replacement coach from farm) and start things up this weekend. also i added the protection pick trading halfway through and people would have traded differently had that been an option earlier. sorry guys, i know it sucks, but it's too confusing. trades all nixed.
