Just so you know hokkee, I was a big fan of you before I found out about your multiple aliases. Then on top of that, you continuously tried to make new aliases after not being allowed in Fall League. Im sorry, that was the last straw with you and am not looking forward to playing you this season.

Im definetly up for some new blood in GDL, especially if quality coaches are let in. I will say though, Im totally against having more then a 30 team league. Two ROMs make no sense.

Balance, if you go by coaches skill, the best way to go is the Hybrid draft. Gives the less skilled players a chance at having a slightly better skilled team

You would think this would be an easy answer, but it isnt. The reason being is if we dont let him in, he will try and get in under a different name. But if you do let him in and the league 'slows down', he will try and create a new name just to make it go faster. I was just thinking, with us only playing 5 min periods. Why not consider having ALL penalties only 1 min. I do love having penalties on, but with the periods being so short, I think they should only be 60 secs.

Regarding what kupuck and matt said, thanks very much I appreciate the kind words. The bottom line is, I want any new member coming into the community to get better as a player. Only way I can do that is by playing them and giving advice and some other tricks(such as the weight bug and tutorial clockwise setup). We all have to remember(vets especially), that for the community and competition to get better we should be helping everyone out.

I was thinking though that if youre going by the year before for ratings, Nicholls only had 32 G, 46 A in 65 games. That is still impressive, but probally worth around a 80 OV. As for Carpenter he had 19 G, 33 A in 71 games, which still wouldnt be worth that big shot he currently has.

Thats pretty fing sweet stevie! Just played a game using my favorite team that year (LA of course) and WOW. There is a colour bug, where green seems to show up where it shouldnt, think its suppose to be black. I will note this is the first year, that I really became a hockey fan! (Gretzky's first year as a King) I think Bernie Nicholls ratings gotta be bumped up, he had 70 G, 80 A that year. Bobby Carpenter shot gotta be toned down also, its way too strong for a guy that only scored 11 G in 39 GP.

Well said FlyersHockey. This topic was only pinned because were having alot of new players that dont know about it. It wasnt put here to 'favour' Gens, just to help out new guys.

Believe this or not, the weight bug adds alot of depth to the gameplay in Gens. It makes so, so rated players good and you have to strategize more of who youre gonna put on the ice when theres no Line Changes.
